  1. I talked to him, I'm going to the shop today to try and get a new one for free. I figure in case he wanted to charge me, you'd guys have one laying around somewhere. We'll see what comes of it.
  2. I plan on sending mine to Kevin when I am ready. I talked to him, and he seemed like a really, really nice guy. I just wouldn't trust many other people...but for some reason, probably reputation, I trust Kevin @ HJR.
  3. TTT
  4. The TORS was never fully removed...that's why it was acting up, and not idling right. I don't know how it runs since I removed the rest of the TORS, I lost an idle/air screw due to a bad tap job the local shop did.
  5. Check the reeds...it'd be pointless to buy a stator w/o checking them first.
  6. I need an idle/air screw for the TORS removed system. Apparently the shop that I had put the screws in broke the bit off inside the carb, then took it out and left it w/o all the threading it needed, and it came out somewhere. Or any suggestions a temp fix will do?
  7. My reeds are nothing like that. But I'd have to say the white piece goes first. It looks like if you put the reeds, then the white piece, the reeds can't flex away from the cage. They act as valves, and have to be able to flex.
  8. It should be the cage, then the petals, then the metal part over the reeds. The bow should be like this: ) ^ ( (with the center part being the cage) That's going to keep the petals from over extending and snapping. I found a few differences between some cages I've seen where the metal plate is way different, yet I was told they were all genuine yamaha banshee parts.
  9. How about adjusting the needle clip? Could that fix it?
  10. Stock pilot. I don't have any other jets or anything to switch out, as I dont have the kit, and no one in FL had any in stock. Both slides are a touch off of being closed, then raise at the same time.
  11. They are synced, and equal on almost every level. I rode it to the house behind me (getting a tool from my uncle), and around my yard real quick. It's wanting to rip like a mother, but I think she's lean. I'm @ 300 mains now, and I'm very lean to where it won't idle right. Where do I go from here jetting wise?
  12. The carbs are synced as close as they can be w/o a tool...probably like 95% accurate. One of the slides appears to be resting a little, little bit higher than the other one. I'm going to see if they were put in right. I only did 1 carb at a time, so I know each carb has its right parts in it.
  13. Kevin @ Her Juggs said a 300-310 main would be a good ballpark. (So I'm on stock needle position, etc.) I rerouted the throttle cable, that's no longer an issue. The slides are off, and horribly. I'm looking through that manual I downloaded trying to figure out how to adjust it. I might rip the carbs apart and double check the slides.
  14. It's really close to idling....as long as I throttle up a LITTLE bit, it will idle. As soon as I let off, it dies. It sounds like there might be an air leak, or the slides could be backwards or something. I'm going to rip it apart and look at the carbs again. I'll post back what I see. I don't know which way to go with the lean vs. paint part on the pipes--I don't know if Toyboxx painted them before he sent them to me, or not. I think it's going to be a lean condition instead. Edit-- When I push the trottle, I hear the slides clicking in the carbs. Is it becuase they are hitting the air screws? I had a shop tap and install the screws for the idle/air, I didn't want to mess it up and have to buy new carbs.
  15. Here is a video of it.
  16. Anyone? I'm trying to get this beast back together.
  17. I installed the K&N Pods, Toomey T5s, TORS Removal, and put in 300 mains. New plugs too. (Sea level.) 1. It will not idle. (I tried every variation w/ the idle air screw.) 2. The slides stick. (What can I grease them with?) 3. The throttle cable supplied with the TORS kit is to tight. (Might be why #2 is happening.) 4. The bike is running really, really hot. (Coolant is getting flushed tomorrow.) 5. The pipes began smoking. (Because of the paint? Toyboxx will have to let us know about this part.) What all can I look at?
  18. I got it, there's only one right way to do it, and I didn't get it right away. Thanks.
  19. 1. Does anyone have Toomey T5s that can take pictures of the whole pipes installed? (From where it attaches to the motor, all the way to the silencers, multiple close up pictures.) It seems like they are to short for my bike?? Things just aren't lining up right, I keep trying to move them around. Was anyone able to put them on using stock hanging equipment?
  20. I wish they weren't so beat up, else I'd have them already. I love the 916s sound...
  21. I hope I can get my Banshee back together before the service. I'd love to pull up on it, I know he'd laugh if he was around to see it, lol. Hopefully I can get a custom "Dennis Davis Racing" shirt made, so I can honor him somehow. An old helmet of his would be pretty cool, then repaint it and put "Dennis Davis Racing" or something. That way we can keep on riding together.
  22. Thanks everyone. He was seriously injured, flown to Gainesville, and died there.
  23. http://www.gainesville.com/article/20080915/NEWS/809150271 I know what he was doing wasn't smart, but he didn't deserve to die. Please always be safe, guys. In Memory of Dennis Davis.
  24. SOMEONE SAY WEED!?!?! *Takes a hit.* Snoop Dog: That's to bad, I just quit yesterday... Chapelle: God damn scavenger.
  25. My buddy has a normal 450 he's parting out, you'd have to convert the frame.
