I have mine off of my '05. They could use a good cleaning, but I will probably be porting and need bigger ones. I'll be cleaning them shortly anyways.

My bike is just for fun, and I have a bunch of plugs around anyways...I'm always changing shit up on my bike, and I always like fresh plugs... I was just curious...do most people go as far as to chop them, or do most guys just look at 'em? I want to make sure when I dump some more cash into this beast I'm doing everything I can to keep it running right. What's your preferred method Loco?

Why would I chop a set of plugs when I can use a light or something to see the electrode? Random, I know.

Bluing pipes mean a lean condition? Even if they are bare metal pipes? Huh...

Check your motor mounts. Won't hurt at least to check 'em and make sure they're tight.

Same port jobs by the same builder? Jetting both dead on? Same riding techniques? Same lbs of air in the tires? Your compression is about 11lbs higher in each cylinder (if it was sea level at least) with the dome difference. - EDIT-- Bike to bike there could be differences....try changing pipes and seeing if there's any difference...especially if you have someplace you can get a trap speed and shit.

Do you have sleeves or does it just look like it (tats I mean)?

One has a "5" in it, and the other has a "6" in it? The T5s respond to porting better. If you are ported, or plan on porting T5s are what you want. T6s are better on stock jugs, but not on ported.

No one knows your riding style, or what terrain you're riding...put the things on, and take it out riding. Then decide for yourself what you need.
