Boost bottles are great paper weights... Some of them things cost more than $30... I do believe I remember a thread a while back where someone mentioned they actually tested a boost bottle and the banshee lost power... I could be wrong. Even still they do cause alot of problems. The stator covers are a nice adition and there is a reason for getting a 3 piece. We've established all of this so if Angel Ripper likes his boost bottle then let him have it. neither of you guys are going to change what you think. Just my opinion

Nope never use it thats why i use that one. But as far as baking I know you dont have to, but I do.... I just thought I'd share the fact that Factory finish Toomey's are like $100 cheaper than chrome or they were when I bought mine brand new and if you just bake them in the oven without painting them just bake the straight metal it comes out with a cool appearance.... If any ones got any cool tips though post them thats what this thread is about

I used a dremel and I carbide cutting tip to do the major work, then a flat pretty coarse file to help finish shaping it up then finish it off with a triangular fine file, But you can use anything that gets the job done... with the dremel really watch what your doing so you do take to much out it works fast. so what you want to do is use the stock reed petals as a template. on the bottom and inside edge grind it down to where the petal will just barely rest on the cage maybe half a millimeter of a little less. On the outside edge just basically grind off the lip. Then ontop grind it up about 1cm. or about 2mm. below the screw holes, then reshape theinside a little to get smoother flow because you created a drop on the top part. Then I like to use the Boyesen carbon fiber dual stage reeds or the carbon flex 2-stage reeds from vito's (theyre the same thing). Those reeds will cover up any little mistakes you made if you went to far or created a nick that you couldn't grind out because of lack of material. Hope that's what your looking for...

You guys that watch car shows on the weekends will know what Im talking about, but they have a tips and tricks part of the show and a money saving tips part. I figured it would be cool to have something like this for Banshees. So this thread is for any kind of cool tips you guys want to share about your Banshee and any kind of money saving tips and post pics of what you've done! Here's mine: I painted my pipes black with a high temp paint from dupli-colr a little while back and made a post about it. Well I noticed most guys on here have chrome or black pipes so I wanted to re-do them.... I had a buddy sand plast them... This gave it almost a silver metallic look. So I decided I wanted to try a new high temp. paint to paint the T5 sign on the side black... I also used a label printer and printed out my last name then cut out the letters and stuck it on the pipe as a stencil. After this I taped off the whole pipe and sprayed on the black. Well the stuff I used you have to bake 3 times for 30 minutes and progressively getting hotter. The final temp. is 600F degrees, well I was doing this in downstairs oven and it only goes to 550F degrees, so I did it at that temp instead. Well I found that due to the heat the high temp of the final bake causes the pipes changed color to a dark gray that changes the color a little depending on the light... So I used a high temp. clear coat on them, when I did this the color changed even more... FInal product was a grey that looks a little metallic up close and changes to golden brown in different light. Shitty pics, but here ya' go:

How much wider are stock 03-07 YFZ A-arms over the stock banshee A-arms?

If you really want to get rid of it man then only you can make that decision, but shee's aren't made any more... and everyone has a 4-poke. IMO you should rebuild it and do some new stuff to it, or keep it and get a 4 stroke. I think once you get rid of it your going to miss it.
-
I think the pipes are a little shorter than the toomeys so you'll probably need to fab. something... but why dont you just get a set of toomey's they'll perform great as well plus it may sound a little different with FMF's vs. the Toomey's they were designed for.

I run some generic 5W-30 and havn't had any problems... it seems to work pretty well
-
What color is that man... it looks great though. Do they have some type of green that does the same thing?

Your going to probably have to get a 4mil. with all the upgrades to go with it... I have a true and welded crank wiseco pro-lite pistons, Agressive trail porting, Toomey T-5 pipes, Pro-Design cool head with 20cc domes, stock jetted carbs open air box ported stock reed cages with vito's dual stage carbon tech reeds +4 timing and I make around 50 I could tune it a little more and get pod filters and maybe get 55 on a good day with race gas so I hope that give you an idea... and I've spent i think around $2000-2500 on the motor but Ive also replaced some bearings and clutch plates and paints and a few billet dress up parts

I think the ones he are talking about are the fox floats the are an air shock and are adjustable on the fly with the pump... I think they will work pretty well, I am probably going to run them when I get to my suspension... I only know of one person on here that has them and he said he likes them when her first got it.

Looks good man are those the black or silver carbon fiber or what? I found a nice black rad. & gas tank cover on ebay for a good price but idk what itll look like with my white plastics
-
Because me and my pops own a company and sometimes we have to do some shipping we have a ton of foam pellets and bubble wrap... I ship all my parts by wrapping it in bubble the ones with small bubbles. then pack the box with foam pellets around the parts... We ship glass items for our business and just use the pellets and we've never had a broken product
-
Same here once I found the HQ I dont really go anywhere else... unless Im looking for parts, and I never get on myspace anymore maybe once a week or so

couple deals fell through, still for sale or possible trade

Thats easy enough to fix, order a new kill switch. Or you can go down to the hardware store pick a switch that you like and splice it in.... make sure its wether proof
-
Sounds like a wild time man. Im sure you could pop out and back in, something I've learned is anything is possible in motorsports.

Craigs list add Check this out guys... it costs $7000 for a new banshee? really? ans since when do you use a -1 swingarm for duning... also where is there dunes in Alaska?
-
I think he means besides the $4 spray can you buy at freds or something. THe cheapest way is going to be just buy black fenders... unless you wanted some kind of custom paint but remember, if your ride trails and you have painted plastics the trees hitting them will cause scratches and chipping
