  1. You mean .04 which is a 65 mm they go to .10 which is 66.5 mm. Stock is 64mm.
  2. Engine Ice and regular 10w40 oil. I think its too hot here for tranny fluid, seen a lot of clutch rods weld to the ball. Not a fun fix.
  3. Same here done it and it was fine, just like he says cut the rib off and a lil yamabond. And then put it in right the next time you split the cases.
  4. You will find out real quick Banshees are like crack. Welcome and let the mods begin
  5. I've asked around here in town and it seems that all agree on EGQ for alky carbs. Both bikes in the sig run them but is this right?
  6. Before you run out and buy a head or domes you need to know what size pistons are in it. 400cc doesnt tell you the size of the pistons. You could have a mess if you put 68mm domes and your running 68.25 pistons. Domes cc sizes depend on what fuel you run, pump, race, alky all take different domes.
  7. I live in Phoenix and it doesnt get much hotter than here. We run just your basic 10/40 motor oil and change it about once every 4 to 6 rides and never had a problem. I think the book says to use a quart of oil but we run 1 3/4 to ensure the clutches get enough oil.
  8. Toss the overflow and rejet, with the K&N filters your getting a lot more air and the bike is running lean which = hot.
  9. let the modifications begin, welcome to our world.
  10. I had the same problem, its the stator. Some stock stators will not fire alky, and will run fine on gas. Try using a stator off a bike you know fires the alky.
  11. Just drop the front to a 13 that way you dont have to mess with adding chain. You are not going to clear the skid plate or chain slide with a 50.
  12. When I ran them, they were on a full drag ported 7 mil listed in my sig. The other thing i didnt mention is a duel pingel is a must. if you want to know the full details pm me and i'll send you my phone number.
  13. When i first built my 7 mil i used stock carbs converted to alky and my bike ripped. it a very cheap optionand it works, bigger carbs are better but they are also alot of money. you will go through a lot more fuel and oil (mix 20:1) but if you ask me its well worth it. And I would run the timing around +8
  14. This is what I would do. Wiseco piston kit off ebay about $185, bore about $100, a ricky stator timing plate $45, find a builder on here to port it $???, find a used set of carbs and reeds in the for sale section should be around $300, and a good set of tires. That bike would rip.
  15. You are already in there replace them.
  16. You can replace it without pulling it apart. lean the bike over and pull the old one out with a pick. Pack the new one with grease and slide it in. You can also do the one behind the sprocket the same way.
  17. A set of CPI's and some 33s that bike should rip. Dont forget after doing all of that you will need more paddle and spocket. Like a 9 or 10 paddle hauler and like 15-41 gearing.
  18. What would cause the lower rod bearing to come apart. This happened on the 7 mil and the motor is only a year old
  19. http://216.37.204.206/xtremepowersports/Ya...;A=257&B=23
  20. You should disconnect the battery
  21. Yup it normal i would use a good oil and mix at 40:1
  22. At the bottom of the steering stem above the bearings, there will be a stop for the steering stem make sure that it connects sometimes that stop gets bent and misses the steering stem.
