  1. As long as it starts, you can ride it all you want. Just bring a tow rope. I personally would get a new topend if it was that low.
  2. Dennis Packard not only sold me the right needles and cable, he got me within 2mm in setting it. 801-451-6142 http://www.packardracing.com/
  3. The whole cover has to be removed. *The clutch cover is considered the side case cover. The little insert with the 3 screws is just cosmetic.
  4. A seized flywheel can turn into a PITA.
  5. If the center part is bent, you can also just buy a new center for it from Hiper. Same goes for each side of the rim, you can buy all the pieces separately.
  6. Yet another smooth deal!!!
  7. I agree with the others. Do it the right way. You can get it really close without chopping, and simply reading the plug. 240 from 310 is too big of a drop imo. Better to go in smaller increments. Once you get it closer, I would do the plug chop for fine tunning.
  8. Very good news man. Congrats!!!! Can't wait to see it all up and running. make em say uhh na na na na .
  9. Whay type of bike is that? Sounds like a hybrid.
  10. Brings back lots of childhood memories. **Pours out a little liquor..... .
  11. The SST is a good pipe. It has a wide range of power. Unless you get into more modding, or plan on going back to 2 carbs, changing pipes would not benefit you at this point in time. The 2-1 is ok for trails and stuff, but it is limiting. Porting is where the power is at. So it all depends on what type of porting has been done. I have never heard or seen anything like that. I hope that whoever ported it, has a steadier hand than whoever etched it. How does it run? Are you wanting more power in certain areas (low, mid, high)?
  12. You can run any 2stroke oil of your choice, I run Klotz super tech. You will get 100 diff answers on whats the best and why. But like stated, jetting may have to be changed. No biggie. All part of tunning. As far as the pancake bearing. It is a bearing that sits behind the clutch plate. It replaces the stock adjuster. What happens is the clutch push rod and ball bearing tend to weld together. 9/10 times the rod will mushroom and get stuck and your clutch goes limp. You have to split the case when this happens. A pancake bearing keeps this from happening. Think of it as a $30 peace of mind. Easy mod when you already have the cover off.
  13. While you have the clutch cover off, always good to add the pancake bearing. Easy, cheap mod that will save you a huge headache.
  14. No telling who you pissed off really. Just takes 1 person. I do not know how many times I have had a comment on something all typed out and ended up just deleting it b/c I did not want to hurt someones little feelings. In the end, I do not care about peoples opinions, so why should mine be so important to share.
  15. My 2nd fav sandtire next to Skat's.

  18. No worries, you do not need a lockup if you are just using the cover for looks. However, the cover is required with the lockup b/c of the size of it.
  19. I think that is around $150, and you still have to mod your stock cover. I will also add from personal experience, that the trinity cover is super thin and dents really easily. Mattoon sells the clear lockup cover already modded and ready for you for around $195. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BANSHEE-CLUTCH-LOCK-UP-COVER-BANSHEE-QUICK-CHANGE-MFG-Mattoon-Machine-/220921597050?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item336ff40c7a

  21. Good question, I think you must have a vagina to ride it. Anyone with nuts ain't riding that thing.
  22. Sounds like a good deal to me. Welcome to HQ.
  23. Any change in air/fuel ratio requires re-jetting. In this case, pipes and porting. You should always do that before running the bike. Don't want to lean out the new topend.
  24. Freebirds FTW.
