??????? The left side must have air trapped. Once you have a little presure, with the brake lever pulled in & you open the bleed screw on the left caliper does brake fluid came out? Make sure the bleed screw is not blocked. Or pop the piston inspect and clean.You say you just purchased it, what was the brake fluid like, contaminated?

Thats right, just where the seal contacts the crank.Just so there not dry. For intallation & initial start up.

It's an easy job to replace the kick starter axle. Just need to tip the bike on the PTO side ( sprocket side) and remove clutch cover, (so you don't have to drain the oil) to get to the clutch assembly. But if you buy it you would want to change the oil. If you don't have a manual you should get one, there handy. Cheap to fix too.
