  1. Do you just tighten it enough to take up the play? There is no way to set arm to the arrow on the case.
  2. I just wanted to make sure I wasnt going to wreck the box, it was kind of expensive. Im no electrician.
  3. One more reply please before I hook this up. If I smoke this fucker I'll be pissed.
  4. How much tougher are the hills down there compared to Minnesota? From your vids they look gnarly compared to up here.
  5. Jeff isnt out of them anymore, I just ordered one yesterday.
  6. Thats not a problem, but my wallet isnt as fat as my ego.
  7. Just wondering what a guy would need for engine setup to be competitive in modified 2 stroke hillclimbing. Does everyone run giant stroker motors or can you compete with less? Its something I am really interested in and am starting to consider building a bike this winter but if its going to take some exotic frankencrank shit I cant do it.
  8. Ok, That might be the easiest way to do it anyway. I thought I wanted to hook it through the on/off switch but I dont think so know. Gracias
  9. I know nothing about wiring and I dont want to damage the dyna. The directions that came with the tether say for non battery ignitions hook the short wire to chassis ground and the long wire to the positive side of the coil or to the on/off switch(I want to do the on/off switch). The warning card that came with the dyna says for banshees use a normally open tether kill switch connected to the stock kill switch. When the tether is removed the switch should ground the kill input into the ignition. So is that the same as what the tether directions is telling me or not? I know im retarted.
  10. Thats my concern, when I ride I hit shit.
  11. I might have the opportunity to trade my 400ex for a 89 Banshee but I dont know if I should because of the j arm. I have an 89 but its was converted to an A arm before I got it. What are your thoughts on the good or bad? I really want the Honda gone but I dont know if its a good idea.
  12. Thats kind if what I was thinking on the clutch but I wasnt sure. Thats how the stock adjuster goes but I got the cascade one with the torrington bearing so Im quite sure it goes washer-bearing-washer on the back of the pressure plate but its just different on the outside of the plate so I wanted to make sure, It didnt come with any directions but mabey they figured if you needed them you shouldnt be putting it in anyway.
  13. Trying to put a new clutch in right now and looking at the clymer it says seat your cushion ring against back of clutch boss bla bla and repeat instaling the remaining cushion rings.frictions,plates.Problem is there are no cushion rings in it,wtf? Then I got a pancake bearing and as retarded as it may be I dont know how to put it in. Looks like it just sticks out the pressure plate with nothing holding it in other than pressure from the rod/ball?
  14. You can pull your plugs out, take a piece of solid solder and put it in the plug hole all the way to the cylinder wall and rotate the motor until the piston comes to tdc and past, take the solder out and measure with a caliper. You'll have to use thick enough solder.
  15. I think the advise savage420 gave you is the best option for your type of riding,I use to drill a couple more holes in the bottom of the air box just to make sure the water has a better chance of getting out because you get grass and shit in there that will plug the drain hole.
  16. Duncan Racing. Go to their website, I think they were about $70.
  17. Take the lid off your box and see if that helps. It may be just what it needs. Then leave it off.
  18. I wouldnt use them, looks like that one is cracking on the other side too and the other petal is cracking also.
  19. Thanks for the info! I think I'll try the pipes and see how I like it before I do any more grinding. I eventually want to build a hillshooter but I will use a different bike for that anyway, What I was shooting for on this one was to basically have a 450 eater that would be good on trails and some of the homeade mx tracks around here.
  20. I think there is a Graydon on ebay right now.
  21. As long as its a stock cylinder the head gasket will work.
  22. So if I got some t5's or the CPI's and didn't raise my exhaust for now would I be making decent hp in the upper range? I want it to "get on the pipe".
