  1. i know that can am outlander 800's rip pretty damn good. I wouldnt say it cant beat a banshee for damn sure. stock for stock the cat will prolly get ya untill top end. But i dont think its fair to say that they cant beat a banshee
  2. how can you shatter a banshee puller? its basically a solid piece of steel with a bolt in the middle.......maybe strip threads but not shatter. you have to be using some universal puller or something
  3. damn i looked on there site $250 for a aggressive dune port? thats pretty damn cheap
  4. good post, gives people who have never done it confidence to do it there self. I was that way to untill i did it and man it was a piece of cake, expect for yamabond drying so fast lol
  5. what are the effects of a crank that is not perfectly balanced? thinking about getting my crank trued but not sure if its needed.
  6. if it were me i would buy a used stocker. nice looking shee bro.
  7. if you ride on a track and some dunes i would get some midrange pipes such as fmf fattys, or paul turner mids. I would prolly do a aggressive trail port or mx port..something that gives you some bottom end but doesnt take away that much from top end. Bump the compression (get a coolhead, or mill the head) advance your timing by +4 degrees with a timing plate and prolly get some pods, as long as you dont ride in mud or water. With those mods you should be rippin pretty damn good. Rebuilding it is just like your cr, if you have any questions there are guys on here that can troubleshoot damn near anything! just ask, you will get hooked up for sure.
  8. get a t.o.r.s. removal kit. i think vitos.com has them pretty cheap....buy a case saver so you dont crank your cases.....other than that we need more info like ls1 said. What do you want out of the shee? what kind of riding? and of cource how much cash do you have to spend?
  9. after you ride it in sand, or if its dusty clean the air filter(s). Grease up the nipples...lol. keep your chain lubed and adjusted. Lube the clutch cable, Change the gear oil often. i dont know if you ride in mud but if you do spray out the radiator....when you wash it if you have pods, put a plastic bag over them and put a zip tie by where the clamp is. That helps keep the water off them. Be carefull not to spray directly down your exhaust outlet..etc. Just some basic things i do after every ride. Once in a while i will spin my a-arm bolts a little bit to. Ive had them get rusted inside the bushing and there a bitch to get out. The best maintance thing you can do for it is get rid of those plastics lol. Your bike is fuckin sick besides for the plastic.....throw on some stockers or fullbores and that thing would be dope
  10. there cheap, why risk it?
  11. john's are mids, i thought this guy wanted to buy high revs?
  12. damn bro that is some sick air in your pic
  13. i pm'd him about a month ago b/c i wanted them and he never pm'd back...took it as they were gone. Bring in some pics to your local graphics or sign company they will be able to make some. Im getting some budwieser ones made for my shee at the local"sign zone" ...also getting some red and white "king of all beers" stickers made for the rear fenders..should look pretty sick with my shee being mostly all red
  14. damn bro you drink the cheap beer
  15. yeah that would be awesome if every part could be sold locally. Shipping is to much of a hassle for me....thanks for the input guys
  16. some say air impacts and some say they can twist the crank........what do you think?
  17. oh, screw that. Its not even worth my time for that lol
  18. very easy fix buddy. Just take off the shifter and side cover and get somthing to get behind the seal and pop her out...i used a old spring tool and it worked amazing....then get a socket and tap a new seal in. I think there like $8 from yamaha. no need to split the cases
  19. say you have the average joe banshee with pipes, pods, paddles, swinger etc. How much would you make give or take on a partout? i know where i can get one for $900 and thinking of buying it then parting it..
  20. how much for the complete plastic
  21. this kit looks badass, anyone run one of these? any better than a cub? http://www.superiorsleeve.com/
  22. saw this shee in person, very nice quad. bump for ya my friend
  23. yeah alot of people have been telling me its from when it was pressed as well...there is no way the bearing could hold that kind of heat without seizing, plus its smooooooth...thanks
  24. some other people are telling me its where arctic cat puts the crank together at, b/c the crank is a few differnt pieces pressed together or somthing. And i was thinking, wouldnt the rod itself turn color first if it was the bearing that was putting off the heat since the rod is in direct contact with the bearing and what turned purple was about 3/8" away from the actual bearing
  25. yeah i know a new crank for it is damn near $1300 and there a bitch to find used....how would i be able to check if its good?
