  1. i will pick up a new set of plugs tommarow....from what i understand you get the shee up to temp with the old plugs, then switch the new ones in and run it down the road and go through all the gears...when you top it out cut the ignition and check the plugs....am i correct? thanks
  2. what makes me think its lean is that what ive learned is that you want a light tan/brownish color when you pull your plugs. Mine are pretty white....I do mostly dune riding and once in a great while i take it to my local mx track and rip around there. I just put the pipes back on and took it for a ride...pulled the choke when it was idleing and it shut off....i did it again when i was riding and it ran like shit and smoked alot. Its also dripping gas out of my left carb overflow hose...would that do anything??
  3. yeah im using stock carbs. The first time i was at the dunes my plugs were perfect color, the sceond time my plugs turned gray...i put in a new set and they never turned color (with 2 hours ride time). The engine runs amazing, just lean. I will go put it back together and pull the choke and ride it and let you know what it does.....
  4. well i finally got the time to do a leakdown test on my shee. I did the test twice and it held a perfect 6psi for 6 mins both times. I am at about 500ft above sea level running 380 mains, stock pilots, and my needle on the 4th clip down from the top and its still running LEAN. I took it up to the dunes once and it seemed to be running spot on. The next weekend i took it up after cleaning my airfilters and it ran lean as hell. Im running a 32:1 mixture. Any ideas or tips would be appreciated

  6. im glad to hear you get good benifits, i dont get shit for benefits. But i dont have to do labor intensive work either. So you can bust your ass and screw up your back for the extra money. I will do the paperwork and make all the decisions for all the people below me. Easy ass job still pullin in 24/hr

  12. badass swinger. I have a modquad slider on my +4 and it works good with my dust cover and seal
  13. try taking off your clutch cover and seeing if your shift shaft is releasing on your shift star. Mine did the same thing, my shift star wasnt able to move to the next gear because my shift shaft kept getting stuck and wouldnt let it grab the next gear. DONT try to force it, you can bend your shift fork. Just take off the cover and see wtf is going on. You will figure it out
  14. shit, i guess you will have to buy a new clutch, basket, inner and outer clutch hub,a new elliptical screw and about 6 damn gaskets to get yours to shit right like i had to do.....nothing like having a shee shift like shit when its under load...take it to the dunes i bet it will shit alot worse. atleast mine did

  17. i also run it... great oil, I dont know if its any better than the supertecniplate but to answer your question they are both good
  18. klotz is the only oil i use in anything 2-stroke i own. The only klotz i know of that can gum up a engine if you run it like a pussy is benol. I ran it in a dirtbike that has a powervalve and it gumed it up but thats because i rode it mostly on the trails. Other than that klotz is a good oil. I also run R50 and i had about 20 hrs. on my top-end when i tore it down and it looked like new.....honestly any of the good named oils like klotz, golden spectro, honda hp, amsoil, and maxima if there mixed properly wont do shit to your engine. Its all personal preference. One person will say maxima is the shit and the other will say its garbage and amsoil is the shit. Untill someone has "proof" that it was the oil's fault for there engine blowing up or seizing i would run w/e you want. 99.9% of the time its the dumbass that doesnt know how to mix gas and oil, runs there 2-stroke wide open for 2 miles, or has no idea how to jet there carbs are the cause for the problems.....not the oil.

  22. i had the shee up to the dunes about a month ago and the jetting was perfect! Then it sat in my garage for about a week, i cleaned the air filters and took it back up to the dunes. This time it ran lean as hell. I changed the plugs also....br8es....i got some starting fluid and sprayed the whole engine and didnt get any results. It makes no sence to me at all. it runs perfect just lean. my jetting is 25 pilots, 380 mains and my needle is on the 3rd clip from the bottom. I tryed the needle on the 2nd clip from the bottom and it ran RICH in midrange. Any ideas anyone? thanks
