  1. leave youre jetting alone for now......... check for compression. see if its getting enough compression to run right. dont run in 6th gear full throttle for longer then 15-30 seconds. anything over that and your ganna get snafu'd if your going to be running at any speed for any amount of time keep it at half throttle. make sure your filter is clean, not over oiled if its a K&N. if thats all good take the carbs off and clean them good...spend 20 minute cleaning on each. make them shiny. then get back with us so we can rule those things out.

  3. some synthetic oils dont leave as dark 2mm rings, but for your mods listed your rich, iv got the same setup but with toomeys and i only run 320s and im rich

    somebody get a date set, and see about renting a house for the weekend so we can all pitch in and stay under 1 roof...be better then tent camping, cheaper then getting a motel room and more secure for our stuff.

  7. also running stock carbs with 320 main and K&N pods and 25 pilots incase anyone needs to know.
  8. ok, so i've been doing compression test on my banshee since i got it, i start with about 145psi - (autozone gauge) when i started ealier this year. iv rode with several diffrent filters on and the worse was my K&N with proflow i always saw small sand particles behind it. anywho left right Started with 145 148 last test i did 118 120 The bike still ran pretty damn good,i could pull wheelies in the first 3 gears(which isnt saying much cause i suck at wheelies) it just didnt feel like my buddys who felt alot stronger and he has t-5 w/ 20cc domes. am i just dumb for pulling it apart even though it still ran good? bike has a 20cc domes in it. and im at 700 elevation. previouse owner when i baught it stated it had " trinity +5 mm crank and rods with wiesco forded pistons in it. All the motor seals where replaced i put a new impellar and clutch in it. It has a new cool head 19cc domes, v-force 3 reeds. t-6 toomey pipes" which the only thing i can verify now is that it does have v-force 3s, the pipes and does have 20cc domes and not 19. anywho back on subject, bike ran good i just felt it had low compression for what its supposed to. since it still ran good should i just re-ring the pistons and get a good hone job done? or should i have it bored & honed and a new set of pistons and rings? here are some picture and let me know what you think. also how can i identify these pistons, there are no markings on top. i used my digital calipers and measured the cylender and it said 64.40 and bounced around between 64.39 does that mean its bored .40 over? cool head picture domes left side cylender right side cylender

  12. wheres the best place to get set of good piston rings? i havent had much luck finding any site tha sales just them. i keep seeing only pistons and rings. any info would be helpfull
  13. it is a deal cause it shouldnt be leaking but pulling the carbs off and cleaning them and adjusting the floats you should be able to do your self

    i live about 3 hours away. i think ill be ready for a trip around those dates sometime. just depends on if i can find someone else to carpool with
  15. you got the same set up as a buddy of mine, just he doesnt have the porting. 320 mains, stock pilot. 2 turns out on air. make sure your filters are clean and it will run perfect also +4 on timing. do that then check back in.
  16. youll both need to hook up with an FFL Dealer, go to your local gun shop or pawn shop. both parties will need to contact each other. or just meet face to face. FFL dealers usually charge 10$ to 30$ on each party

  18. i dunno man, to me those look light grey to redish to mean, dont looks brown at all to me, id say lean i generally like to see mine a little darker brown. never had a motor go bad on me yet.

  20. very possible, i got pods and t-6's and im running 320s which is still pretty rich on my plug chops.
  21. clean the damn carbs already, if fuel is coming out of the over flow your floats are stuck open...

  23. mines only overheated once when i was in 2 gear in some real loose sandy and bumpy crap not going fast at all but i was on the throttle maybe a little under half for about 5 minutes. other then that i ride around slow in first all day long without problems and have done miles and miles of trails slow without problems.
