  2. can of worms!! lol.. i run amsoil and love it.. i'm not saying it is better than other oils, as there are a lot of good oils out there.. anytime i have had my motor open it is clean as a whistle, and there is a nice film of oil on everything.. i have used other oils and like the amsoil the best.. its all preference.. some people run certain oils just because of the smell.. its whatever floats your boat. i even run it in my weedeater and chainsaw,.
  3. +1 on the t5's . i had t6's on my banshee when i bought it.. they got sold and put t5's on the bike.. it is trail ported, vforce reeds, +5 timing, head with 19cc domes, and a 2 into 1 carb.. its badass to just be a trail banshee.. definately get the t5's.
  4. yea i know also. its a bitch!! when i got my cub motor together it wouldn't shift under hard acceleration.. i put the shift star ( i cut myself) and the shift pro kit.. much easier to shift, but an overide would be sweet!! it still decides not to shift every once in a while.. the more power you make, the harder it gets to shift.. a lockout and overide is the cure..

  8. umm if its in good shape thats not that bad.. WOW 250 for a carb cleaning(or rebuild, more than likely just cleaned) a set of plugs and air box?? could have got you by for about 75 bucks at the most to do that honestly..

  13. i run amsoil dominator at 50:1 .. 50:1 is plenty of oil .. like loco said..
  14. yep, dominator at 50:1 here also.. i hva never had an engine blow up or seize yet.. been using it for a long time.. the only top end i had wear out lasted 6 years, and still started and ran good.. was just gettin low on psi.. the cylinders didn't have a scratch or scar at all.. just normal wear from years of abuse.. i was very impressed.. but like fouledout said, its all preference, this topic usually opens a can of worms so i'll shut up now..
  15. well if you just take the spark plugs out, wouldn't it be the same thing?? that should work.. man it would be so easy on gas that way too.. i have also been thining about doing water injection. yea that would be kool!! i bet no one else has that!!
  16. i was thinking about drilling holes in the tops of my pistons.. would kinda act like a boost port.. anyone tried this yet?? well maybe i should just remove my crossover tube so it will run lean and just melt holes in them for me.. ?? dude you should know better than that.. if it even ran like that it would run so lean and so shitty, then it would melt the pipes and the pistons.. not trying to be such an ass but why would someone even think of doing that??
  17. im at around 400-500 elevation. i am running 19cc domes, stock exhaust port height, and +5 timing on 93 pump gas.. no problems.. not sure what my compression numbers are but i would say around 140ish.. now im gonna go check it for curiosity..

  23. well i got tired of looking at dumbo ears so i decided to cut the fronts.. this is my first attempt ever so tell me what ya think.. i still need to sand and heat the adges.
  24. well guys here is how i look at it.. if you want to ride trails, you gret a trail port. if u wanna drag, you get a drag port.. its all in what you want.. my trail bike has a 2 into 1 carb and i love it. this bike will never have dual carbs again.. but my other bikd has a cub motor with dual carbs.. i really can't complain about any power loss with my 2 into 1 carb.. it does scream up top and still outruns my buddys shee that still has stock carbs.. sure, bigger dual carbs are going to give you more topend power, but at the sacrifice of low end.. its all in what you want.. i love my trinity setup.. its really hard to beat.. i don't see any difference in how much fuel it uses.. about the same for me.
