  1. i sold the t6's that were on a bike that i bought , then put t5's on it... i like the t5's better than the 6's. bike is trail ported, trinity single carb, t5's.. noss head with 19cc domes, .5 on the timing.. its an arm ripper in the woods!11 very responsive, and gets on the pipe very fast..
  2. i have the big bore stock stroke cub.. i am running 33 pwks, and inframe cpi's.. it definately runs great.. i trail ride it often(nothing real technical).. but i would definately buy the big bore cub.. why spend all that money and not get the big bore? in my opinion thats a no brainer.. i would like to trade up to a set of shearers and give them a try.. but since the cpi's come on a little sooner they suite me best.. good luck.. he will love that cub.
  3. i have one and like ot so far.. seems to be accurate. you have to calculate your tire diameter into the speedo for it to be accurate.. if you read the directions and take your time setting it up it works pretty good.. i like mine because it has your engine temp on it.. thats important to me..
  4. i have a 2 into 1 with t5's and a mild port job and love the way my bike runs.. i can smoke my buddys banshee which has stock carbs and trinity pipes with timing... my other shee has a 392 cub motor, which will always have duals.. it all depends on what you are doing with the bike..
  5. why not have the crank trued and welded?? not that expensive and its good insurance.. shift star mod, port match the upper case. do you want your cases powdercoated?? i can powdercoat them for you also..
  6. run that single carb that you have.. i wanted the same thing so i put a single carb setup on mine(35mm pwk) and i love it.. great bottom and mid with a great topend also.. and get a noss head with 19 or 20cc domes (depending on your elevation) and a timing plate.. and some carbon fiber reeds if money allows.. you can also go smaller on your front sprocket.. theres a lot of options
  7. yea that is definately a past blow up and rebuild.. if the head looks that bad then the piston and cylinder would also.. a lot of pwople reuse the head when they look like that, not a big deal in my opinion, looks like someone did a cleanup port on it.. did you do a compression test before you took it apart?? could be just a carb issue making it not run right.. or something else with the tuning.. just my thoughts on it.. if the compression was good i would never take one apart, first thing would be to try a set of new plugs, then if no change i would take the carbs off and clean them and check everything.. a clogged pilot will make one run like shit.. i have also ran across shees that ran like shit and someone had the carb slides in backwards.. not trying to be negative on ya bro.. just my opinion.. would be a good time to re-ring it and put a noss head on there..
  8. i have had 2 Ricky stators go bad on me!! a buddy of mine bought a banshee, had a ricky in it, it went bad also, he bought another ricky stator, and it went bad!!, put an oem in it and all is fine now.. so yes they are definately only good for paperweights, scrap metal, or any other non-electrical use you can think of!! LOL
  9. here are the pics the cylinders are polished, has a modquad head, runs on pump gas
  10. ok here is my shee.. mite sell it for the right price.. has a red powdercoated frame, new +2 swinger(roundhousing) with fresh black powdercoat, works rear and front shocks, +2+1 a arms, new plastics,. 392 cheetah cub motor, cases are powdercoated, sidecovers are polished, has a hotrods welded crank(stock stroke) all new seals, hinson clutch basket, shift pro kit, modded shift star, aluminum radiator, timing plate, 33mm pwk carbs, cpi inframes, vforce 2 reeds, durablue axle.. this bike was just build over the winter and has been hardly used.. only thing it will need is a new clutch ..( 4th gear launches fried it) whats it worth guys?? would i be better parting it out? but don't worry guys, i still have 2 more banshees!! lol
  11. just a bump! i like cupcakes lol
  12. how much?? throw a price on it..
  13. i have a 2 into 1 carb intake,, it is made by bankrupt (guy here on the forum) the intake is powdercoated black choe.. the carb is a 33mm pwk.. includes the slide and cap but you will need a cable for it and will need to tune it to your bike.. anyone interested?? i can get pics for those interested.. 70 bucks shipped.. the carb alone should be worth that. it also coes with a pro design aluinum/rubber cab boot that bolts to the intake..
  14. we have a shop here that does the same thing.. if you buy the pistons somewhere else he will not bore your cylinders.. you have to buy them from him, he charges waaaay too much for the pistons.. he is pretty much a crooked kinda guy.. it really su ks that people are like that.. it pretty much puts you in a bind.. so i just find a good builder that will treat me right and ship them out to them.. even if (after shipping) it cost the same as getting it done locally, i feel better about not letting someone take advantage of me even if i do not save money.. just my .02
  15. i have always heard that a lot of guys bore the cylinders to each piston, but i recenrtly had passion racing bore my cylinders and he said it did not matter which piston went where.. so its going to be your decision.. i would say that when they bore each piston to each cylinder that the clearances are a little tighter . which is a good thing if you take the time to break it in right.. i had a topend done the same way, broke it in right nad it ran for over 6 years.. thats no bull.. its up to you though..
  16. amsoil dominator for me.. been using it for 8 years.. nevre had any bad mishaps!!! its all preference guys, its been discussed a million times.. there are some oils out there that do smell frickin good though..
  17. lol yea, might need some monroe's to haul all that ass!!!!
  18. would solve those traction issues he has been having!!! hope he has a good suspension for all of that!! lol
  19. thats what i am using is the honda radials!!
  20. yea i know, but it was one of those what the hell days.. at first if was grabbing good then started slipping.. lesson learned i guess.. it just spins so bad in 2nd.. maybe i wil just try 3rd gear.. would 3rd be hard on the clutch?? whats a good biting tire to get?? what about zippers?? are they a good drag tire for dirt?
  21. i leave in 3rd and sometimes in 4th.. depends on the track.. its gonna spin anyway so waht the hell?? i did fry my clutch over the weekend launching it in 4th though.. i have a 392 cub.. when i launch in 4th it never boggs, just screms like a mofo!!
  22. i think the clutch i have is the tusk clutch(not downing it guys) i have seriously abused it though .. lol .. someone school me on the overide tranny's.. i assume that trail riding is tossed out the window when you go that route???
  23. yea i smoked him pretty bad.. when i launched in 4th the tire spin was unreal!! it got a lot of attention!!lol .. yea he was pissed and wanted to race over and over agin, he never came close and left with a hurt ego!! it was well worth smoking the clutch!! lol.. this little motor has a ton of power for sure..
