  1. And some Small Bore Shearers will do LIGHT YEARS better than the Trinity's for a 472-485-492 PV Cheetah. Trinity pipes.......... Pros = Stainless Steel, nice spark arrestors if you need them. (But the arrestors aren't U.S.F.D stamped) Cons = Not the best choice of pipe for any catagory + $$$.$$
  2. Yeah 6200 is alot more than 2600. Guess I got my 2 and 6 crossed. It was at 6262 when I posted yesterday. Look at it now. It's getting alot of looks evey day. That's still ALOT of views when you think about the number of site members. Even without the dyno sheets, it's still a high traffic post due to the Serval interest. I'm still suprised we haven't seen some dyno numbers from some other Serval owners yet. I'm deep into the winter off season and knowing more info and hearing more owner feedback on the Serval might trigger a winter rebuild for one of my bikes. It's already got a +6 arm and I have BB CPI's or SB Shearers that I could put on it. I think a Serval would be a perfect fit. But I'd still like to see the pipe and carb choices played with. I know I'd dyno test some FMF Fatty's along with the CPI's and Shearers just to see what, how and how much each pipe changes the power. Guess we'll just have to stay patient till we see some more numbers.
  3. Thanks, I think your one in a million too.
  4. Your all on to me. I figure if we can have 2600+ views of a dyno post with no dyno numbers.........how many hits will this title get. Now I'll just give a lame excuse like "Hey sorry, ran out of summer. I'm in Chicago and I didn't get time to get to the dunes. I'll try to get pics later.........." Sorry....NO PICS FOR YOU! Happy new year anyway.
  5. I'm going riding with the wife. She's got a white micro- tank top that ELKA sent her with her new dune edition shocks. She "Trimmed it" to show some "under boob". (looks good standing still...should be an eyefull in motion.) She wants me to get some footage of her ripping through the whoops in her shorts and tank. I'll post video/pics soon........
  6. People have glanced at this post 2,626+ times and seen NOTHING. I guess we're all going to have to wait another year to see some Serval Dyno numbers.
  7. Yes. You can make 70+ HP with the stock carbs. Guys tend to go a little overboard with the carbs thinking bigger is better. Even if your ported, without doing alot of other upgrades to pipes, timing, reeds, etc......the stock carbs would still work great. A set of 28's will work great too and you can make upgrades down the road and not need to change carbs again. So if you have the stock carbs....keep them, unless you find a nice set of 28's.
  8. I went from a "Pro Mod" stock modded tranny to a duneable override. I got the N- down 2-5. It's great if your looking to MOSTLY drag. But I don't care for it as a DUNE tranny. You really can't backload them at all. (I'm told the springs will help prevent the gears from jumping around and getting chewed up, but you can still bend or break shift forks if you backload it.) So every time I lift off the gas.....I gotta pull in that clutch. Then if you want to get back into the gas....you gotta rev it above the wheel speed before you let it out. I'm sticking with the override as the bike is almost 500cc and the frame is +4 with a +10 arm. The plan is go make it a dune dragger. But for my stock framed +6 armed 65HP bike....I'll stick with the Pro Mod stock style tranny. I'm sure others use a duneable to dune....but I don't care for it.
  9. I think we would ALL love to see that happen. ........But FIRST..........The MOTOR has to get dyno'd. Can't manage to get what he HAS dyno'd let alone do a full pipe test for us. Maybe the post wasn't started to show us HIS numbers.....but more like a question, like someone would jump in and post what his motor SHOULD make. Let's face it...we're going to keep chatting here till we see some numbers. Then we'll have 9 pages of debate on what pipes would REALLY be best.
  10. Yeah.....??? I didn't catch his 70mm comment. Aren't the Servals available in 68's and the Super Servals are 72's?
  11. Yeah, a few of the bolts don't work on the swingarm. I also don't like to use the bolts they send for the front brake rotors. But it's an awesome kit. But beware and follow the advice of others......you need to dab EVERY bolt with either anti-seize or loctite. Stainless bolts when tightend can cold weld together and you'll have to break them to get them off. (A friend cold seized a small nut and bolt for mounting his plastics. It was the one of the two for the top of the front fender.) so hit it all with anti-seize unless it's something you don't want to have come loose without effort.......then use loctite. (I like the blue for general stuff.) Great kit Well labled Put all your factory stuff back into the bags when your done. Staple them back closed and you'll have well labled spares. You'll still have plenty of nice extra stainless bolts. I went and got the right sized stainless allens and replaced my float bowl screws. Now...No more rounded out and stripped phillips float bowl screws.
  12. Huh, Huh, Huh.......Larry said "Groovy"....Huh, Huh, Huh......Yeah....Yeah, Huh, Huh, Huh....and "Jive ass". Hey Butthead...........What's a Jive ass? .......I don't know Beavis.....but I bet it's "groovy"..... Huh, Huh, Huh..........Cool.
  13. I agree. My 492 cheetah made the same peak HP with the SB's as it did with the BB's, but the front side of the dyno curve was stronger with the SB's. (Matt told me it would and he was totaly correct.) For your 465 Serval, I'd run SB Shearers.
  14. looks more like he really wished he owned a KTM.........from the looks of it, and the price he's asking........he's a drug user.
  15. Dynojet dyno's in PA. http://www.dynojet.com/dyno_centers/dynocenters3_output.aspx?state=PA Call and ask if they have an ATV dyno. We have the 188 but there are a few different models. Hope that helps.
  16. I'm running the Cascade gear slammer. It fits too.
  17. So you both think that the Vito's fat bastards are a better trail pipe than an FMF? You think that the Bastards are a better drag/dune pipe than the CPI/SHEARERS? LOCO you just posted telling a guy that the Vito's stuff is junk and that he should have checked here first...we would have told you. So now your amending that? The pipes are great...but everything else is junk? Do we have ANY runs in the dyno section testing Vito's against anything? Maybe (like I said) you hardly ever see anyone running them, because people who are serious about making some power....wouldn't even think to try those. Hell, Lane works for Vito's and he doesn't run the Bastards on ANYTHING! Is there a record in ANY kind of motorized racing that is held by a machine running Vito's Fat Bastards? Maybe you could clue me in since I'm such a dumbass.
  18. Really? Jokes over ............................ Only funny if you bring up your own post 2 years later to the day. Just sayin.
  19. Thanks for the update boss. You started the post and got some of us all Then we waited till we were all Then we chatted about stuff till we got But I know how it goes, stuff happens. So I guess I'll just await your numbers. Guess we'll wait till you give us the good news.
  20. Well, everyone say "Do a search"....this is what you get. We've got some new members posting here lately. As for me....I hate the Fat Bastards. They fit bad, aren't as good as a Shearer......I don't know what else to say. You rarely see them on anything. Maybe because for the cost, you would do better either getting an FMF or stepping up to the CPI/SHEARERS. I think the Fat Bastard pipe is good on the Blaster, but we know who the good pipe companys are. Vito's ain't one of them.
  21. Elks shocks have a serial number on them. (it's a small lazer etched number on the back side of the top mount.) Get those numbers and call Elka. They will know what those are set up for weight wise and be able to coach you through getting them dialed in for your needs. Sounds more like you back shock needs some adjusting...... Please don't text hear. Write. u = you, b = be, r = are... so take an extra second and type it out like you were in school. Thanks.
  22. They have a step by step on how to change a Banshe clutch. (Basic pics just like in your manual) They are "advertizing" a cheap clutch system made by KG Clutch Factory. They are based right here in my state of Illinois and aren't too far away in Arlington Heights. (About 20 min away.) I'll cut to the chase....We've tried these clutches. They work. But.....They swell alot more than we would like when they get hot and your freeplay adjustment will get a 1 1/2 turns out of adjustment while your riding. So you have to mess with the adjuster all the time. Otherwise as you come to a stop and pull in the clutch.......motor dies. But having said that....we haven't tried them on a bike making less than 65HP....so maybe they are fine for a basic bike. 23. Yeah, WTF? ChuyFargas started this post September 1st............. 2 1/2 months later, still no dyno numbers? He lives in the same town Trinity is based out of, and we can't even get any over inflated dyno numbers from them? Find a dyno and strap that bad boy down and let's see what kind of raw 4-stroke crushing power it makes. NUMBERS BROTHER....Or GTFO.
  24. Frog is on pump gas. His motor will make the same top end power, with a better front side curve with the SB pipes. But if he's happy with it and doesn't need to find evey ounce of power....or if spendig money to get another set of pipes isn't worth the extra power..then run them.
