i took the pump off, it looks perfectly fine. im just going to change the lines going to and from it, and see how it works. im going to do that, change the fuel lines, put in a new steering cable, new fluids and plugs and see if it starts. i did order the primer system, i have read that makes it very easy to start. i would rather use the oil injection if possible i guess

to change everything in the oil injection system is $250. everyone on the pwc forums says these things run better with premix at 40:1, as the injection dumps way too much oil at lower speeds and idle. i have had my fair share of bad stealership experiences, last time i had a banshee at a dealer, i got it back with 2 different needles in it, and one of the carb idle screws stripped out. last time i ever went to a dealer. i guess its more the hoses and filters that fail, not the pumps.

Everywhere else I have read to take the oil injection off, as it is the main cause of engine failure in the waveraider. Mine is a 700cc, not 1100. In the clymers book for it, it says if it is run in salt water, to run the engine out of the water with fresh water connected for 10-15 mins. Then it says disconnect water and rev it wit a few blips to 3/4 throttle, for no more than 15 seconds then shut it off.

so far i have ordered a primer kit and oil block off plate. i think ill get a ride plate and an intake grate, and then im good.

what do you guys think about the oil injection system on this thing? im thinking of just killing it and running premix, since its an old ski, and thats just one more thing that could go wrong. i dont really like the idea of not knowing the oil injection is fucked till the motor blows. so does toomey make pipes for these things lol stroker what kind of ski do you have? are these motors pretty reliable?

is there a way to hook up a hose to run it out of water?

no its not running, according to the guy i bought it from, it was winterized in 03, and then sat till now. motor is really clean, plugs look good on it, i need to pickup a battery and change all the fluids. i dont know shit about jetskis, it did come with a clymers tho
