Mine got a banshee cocktail spilled on it. Gas oil and antifreeze lol. I bought a craftsman one, I think it has a continuity beep. Paid $45 for it, ill see how it works out. 250 is insane for a meter! that's a set of asv levers right there.

i was probably going to list it on CL for like $3200 and take 3 grand for it. Its stock except fmf fatties, and a toomey 2:1 filter. the motor is like brand new, everything was just redone.

i buy older non running banshees, fix them up and flip them. i have my 97 and an 06, which i will never sell.

i figured this one i didnt have to, since the resistance is starting right where the 2 marks line up. i have done it on other banshees before, but only if the 2 marks are out of alignment.

well it appears the problem is the piece of shit ez pull clutch perch and lever. fucking piece of garbage stretches out, and then you cant take the slack out of the cable. i have only had problems with these stupid cheap ass clutch perches. im ordering a set of asv levers, i have them on my 06 and have none of these problems. ez pull perches are junk, the metal is soo soft and flimsy.

an 06 cable should work fine on a 97 right?

I just put a new OEM yamaha clutch cable on, and i cannot get it adjusted right. to get the correct amount of slack at the perch, i have to have the adjuster screwed like all the way out, so it is falling out of the perch. the clutch case mark and the arrow on the perch line up, what am i doing wrong? the first picture is when the clutch is released, the 2nd is when i push the thing on top of the case to where it stops.
