my bike came with one on it, i just took it off, because it cracked one of the intake boots, and it looked gay. ill sell it to you if you want, it has some nice stickers on it too! way more room to work under there with the stock tube on. lucky i caught the crack before it went all the way thru and toastered my motor.

i live in the city, i have also heard bay cycles is the spot to get powdercoating done. i have been in there shop, they have a sick setup for powdercoating, and ill bet anywhere else that will have shit powdercoated in the bronx just sends it over to them and charges you more. when i order a new frame, and tear my banshee apart, everything is going to them for powdercoating.

yfz 450 engine break in
official_style replied to official_style's topic in General Banshee Discussion
this site describes what i think would work. i am sure this would ruin a new 2stroke motor tho http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm -
on a brand new 450, do you have to really drive slow for the first 20 hours and all that crap? when i bought my mustang brand new i beat the shit out of it right away with 3 miles on the odo, and it actually always puts down more power than my friends who has the same mods on the dyno. and i always smoke his ass lol. but with the quad, is it ok to do the same thing? i want to run my friend who just bought the 450, but now he is all scared he has to break the motor in.

i bought a works rear shock for my bike, and it completely transformed how it rode. i actually ordered the fronts after riding it once, i was so satisfied. the bike stays glued to the ground now, unlike with the stock shocks where it was bouncing all over the place.

Getting Ready To Order T5`s....
official_style replied to OFF2JAIL's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
i have a 97 shee, when i got it, it had pods and stock exhaust. i added t5s with their jet kit and toomeys 2-1 intake. my bike screams now, made a huge difference. i was in the same boat as you, couldnt decide if i wanted t5s or t6s, im glad i went with t5s, because when i get some money together and get my motor worked, i already have the right pipes. go with the t5s. -
i keep my bikes up in my friends basement in new rochelle, the mojave someone gave to me, and it starts and runs, but has no back brakes, the choke cable is broken and the reverse lockout is broken so it can always go into reverse, other than that its just body shit, its missing the front plastic that holds the headlight and key, i just ordered that, and is missing a bunch of bolts that hold the plastics and seat on. im just trying to fix it up to keep as a 2nd bike like if someone wants to go riding with us. the banshee seems like its much easier to work on and get at everything that needs to be fixed.

today i did my first banshee repair, i noticed that one of the manifolds was cracked, so i installed a new one, it wasnt that hard, and i felt pretty damn good after i finished it and the bike started on the first kick! im going to try and work on the mojave myself first, and see if i get stuck. i do want to learn how to repair these things myself. sean if i get stuck ill hit you up.

i needed to have my chain adjusted, it got to be too long, and while it was there i had them install my new front shocks and my cascade thumb throttle. i have like no idea how to work on a quad, i changed the rear shock and it was a major PITA and took me forever. is there anywhere good you could recommend for me to take my bike to for the next time it needs service?

i was at yamaha in new rochelle yesterday, dropping my shee off to get some minor shit done, and they have 3 left over brand new in the box 2006 banshees. i know one is a black one, im not sure what the other 2 are. the guy said $6500 maybe he would deal a little. i would LOVE to cop that black one, but i already have my 97, and dont have the funds right now. the place is called wheel sport center.

how much do you think i am looking at for the port? -
i have a 1997 banshee, and i want more power. currently, i have the toomey 2-1 intake and toomey t5s. what would be the next mod for getting some more power? i do trail riding, and ride paved dirt roads. i already have a works rear shock, which is great, and the front 2 shocks from works will be here within the week. sooo what to order?
-
well, the 2006 rear shock sucks lol. im too heavy. i called up works, and they can re do my rear shock for about $350, it would be revalved and have a new spring for that price. i can get a brand new shock from them, non adj, setup for my weight for about 549. am i better off just going with the whole new shock? i dont want to have the stock one done and it doesnt last. any other places that will do rear shocks for someone who weighs 260?

thats what i was thinking too
