which coating did you get? i was going to go with the "super durable"
-
sounds like a plan, i am going to ride the 06 SE i bought this weekend, it is completely stock, ive never ridden a stocked out shee, then it will be out of comission for a while i install everything, get parts powdercoated etc. bay powedercoat is the best place to get that stuff done right?
-
well it was between that, and a raptor 700, but we already have 2 banshees, so why get another sport bike? if we bring chicks or people who dont ride, we need the auto! are you going to come hit up the spots with us in the catskills when it gets warmer? im actually going this weekend, even though i will probably freeze my ass off.

Lonestar Axcalibur 2+2 Axle
official_style replied to official_style's topic in General Banshee Discussion
cool thanks for the info, i am like breaking the bank on mods for the new shee, thats a few less things i have to buy! -
so i ordered the Lonestar Axcalibur 2+2 Axle, and the modquad locknut, do i need a different brake disc hub or will the stock one from my 06 work on it? this is the same axle that is on my 97, but the 97 has a different brake hub.

got rid of the 450! traded it in on a 2006 kodiak 450 SE with 39 hours on it, like 225 miles, excellent condition. even swap. we had wanted one utility quad anyways, so that me and my boy can ride my 2 banshees, and then someone else who doesnt know how to use a clutch can use the kodiak. yfz450 sucks compared to the banshee btw, it is fast, but definetly doesnt feel as fast as my 97 shee, its uncomfortable to ride, and it feels very unsteady when your going fast, like its too light in the front. the dealer had the kodiak marked at $4680, so i think this is a fair swap.

that sucks, i told him not to buy that POS and just buy a banshee, that thing is so uncomfortable to ride and feels way less stable. i guess he is gonna have to take the hit.
-
my boy just bought a leftover 06 yfz450, the yellow SE one. he rode it 2 times and fucking hates it. he wants to get a banshee or a raptor 700, so what do you all think that yfz is worth? it has maybe 3 hours of riding on it.

just ordered the modquad black axle nut, lol i cant stop ordering stuff! the lonestar axcalibar 2+2 will bolt on to the stock bike right? dont need to order anything else for it? -
so i just ordered this axle for my 06 shee, and i wanted to know, if i get it powdercoated, will it still fitinto the rear carrier, or will it make it too hard to install? also, does this axle bolt right up to a stock bike, or does it need anything else? http://store.albaaction.com/shop/10-20100000.html

it took me a while to find a totally stock black 06 one, this one the guy had bought brand new last year, it was a leftover. he told me it probably has about 20-25 hours of riding on it. it definetly looks like it, there arent even any scratches on the bottom of the frame, and basically the whole bike looks brand new. i had to drive 360 miles each way to pick it up! i rode it for a little while in this field near where he had it stored, there was slushy snow and mud, so it got totally dirty already lol. i paid $4100 for it. so far i have ordered: PRM a-arm plate set, bottom frame plate, z swingarm plate, all the thickest size metal ones, cascade gear slammer, ez push throttle, fender brackets, t6 exhaust clamps, bar clamp plain, coolant bottle bracket toomey tr6 pipe kit with 2:1 filter and jet kit motion pro thumb throttle kit black gas tank vent valve Lonestar Axcalibur 2+2 Axle alba pro elite parking brake block off kit hide a key black renthal handlebars eyeballs (lol) pro aluminum pro-nerf bars black powdercoat. (might sell and just buy prm sidebars) works AT series front shocks, quadstar rear shock all black kenda klaw tires 20x11 rears 21x7 fronts and i think thats it. everything, pipes, all skid plates thumb throttle etc are all going to bay powdercoating, and getting coated with their black super durable funish. i am going to be in debt for the rest of my fucking life now! you all think i should get the brake and clutch levers powdercoated black, or just get different controls? -

i have a 95 kawasaki mojave, and man that thing is a bitch to kickstart. my banshee is so easy, just a few light kicks and shee fires right up.

so i got my mityvac compression tester, and i wanted to check the procedure before doing it. gas off, remove plugs, slap in long 14mm thread, WOT, kick the slut till the compression wont go up any more right? my question is, what do i do with the plug wires when they are disconnected from the plugs? leave them hanging or cover them up or something else? i just dont want to blow my ass up or get shocked! what are good readings for a stock motor?

help me pick a utility quad
official_style replied to official_style's topic in General Banshee Discussion
i think i am going to go with the kodiak, they sound like exactly what i want, thanks for the help! -
i wanted to pick up a utility quad, so that if i bring someone with me upstate, they will have a quad to ride, use it for plowing snow, something to ride if i am repairing the banshee etc. i want something that is elec start, automatic, and 4x4 with the option to go into 2wd and of course reverse. i can spend between $1500-$2500. i would like to stay with yamaha, but if there is a better brand for utilities i will go for it. so what should i start looking for?
