  1. i didnt have a chance to yet, but today i am going to change the oil in both of my bikes.
  2. that is definetly what i will do when i am doing new swingers.
  3. o well, i basically just wanted to ride the 06 one time stock, since i have never ridden a stock sheee, they suck btw lol. what could have made that left pipe get red like that after going thru the water? burning the water out of the motor? i guess i will be playing a lot of pure this winter lol
  4. i mean i have gotten my 97 stalled out with water 1 time, i think it could have been the stator cover gasket though, all i did was take out the plugs, burn them with a lighter, and have someone tow me till it started again, ran like shit for a while, then everything burned out and it went ran fine, this was a huge puddle i hit going pretty fast. the performance gain from the toomey filter might be worth getting stalled out in water for me, since i never ride alone, i can always get tow started. if i decide to run the toomey filter, but then want to run no lid box, like if its raining or something, i would need to re-jet?
  5. i have this intake on my 97, and i really like it, added a bunch of power, and made it much easier to work on. i want to do a new intake on my 06, since i do a lot of trail riding, and like flying thru mud and puddles, should i do a different setup? i do this all the time on my 97, and have only had a problem a few times, it seems to me if i have bottom skid plates, the toomey filter is up high enough its pretty covered, and the outerwear blocks the water. what do you all think? also, is it really tru you need to change the outerwear every like 6 months or whatever because they lose water repellency?
  6. yep i am, so ill have to send all 6 of my shocks out to works.
  7. where is the cheapest spot to get the t5 kit in black that comes with the 2:1 filter and jet kit? get it from toomey?
  8. i am all set with winter riding, had like the worst day! went to this spot i have ridden at a bunch of times during the spring summer with my 2 shees and the yfz450, unload, get the bikes to start, warming them up, im driving the 06 just in 1st gear real slow, and some stupid like enviornmental cop pulls up, and says you cant ride on state land, only snowmobiles, checks my vin, and gives me a summons for no helmet. i think they were patroling that area because its hunting season, i have never seen any cops or any of those enviornmental pigs in there before either. so load up, go to another spot, this place is much lower elevation, and instead of snowing it is pissing raining. its impossible to get the banshees started, finally get them started, and they both are running like shit, keep stalling, the trails are so wet and muddy we keep getting stuck and having to pull each other out. my boy ran my 97 thru this huge puddle, and then shut it off right after, it was a bitch to start it, and when i got it to run again, it was backfiring from the left cylinder like a mofo, the bottom of the t5 turned red, and now the chrome is discolored on that pipe. after a little while it went back to normal. plug on that side is fucked. fuck this winter shit, its too cold, my bikes are staying inside till the spring, and they will just get worked on and started up once a week. i also NEED to learn jetting, that is what i am going to start fucking around with now. i guess the first spot i went to i can only ride in spring/summer, too many enviornment cops out when its hunting season. he also said snowmobiles are allowed to ride there, but not ATVs. what the fuck is the difference?
  9. kinda thinking T5s now. so a bike with port/head/timing t5s will put out more power then a bike with just t6s?
  10. if i get this baby powdercoated, its not going to make it a bitch to install is it?
  11. also, on a stock motor bike, do the t6s really put out that much more power then the t5s do? if the t6s really do put out like 8 more hp and 5 more lb/ft of tq on a stock motor, maybe i should do them on the 06, and do the porting/reeds/timing etc to the 97. help me decide!
  12. im about to order pipes for my 2006 shee. on my 97, i have the toomey t5s, 2:1 intake and jet kit, and i am very happy with the power. i was thinking of going with the t6s. are they that much better like toomey says? if i am planning on eventually doing some porting, doing the head with domes and timing advance should i even consider t6s? help me out, im ordering on monday! i also do pretty much trail riding, and dirt roads for hauling ass.
  13. cool thanks for the help.
  14. definetly no electronic devices on my shee, except my garmin etrex.
  15. would it hurt the bikes to run them once with the non R plugs? that fucking shithead at yamaha sold me the B8ES plugs, i said the old ones are have the R, he said these ones will work better, probably needs to get rid of them or something. so i should be running BR8ES plugs in both my bikes.
  16. which are better to run the B8ES or the BR8ES plugs?
  17. my 2006 shee i just bought came with NGK BR8ES plugs in it, i have a box of NGK B8ES plugs, can i run these in the 2006, or only in the 97?
  18. hopefully i get some christmas money, and i will be able to get 2 +2 swingarms. then i will need new chains, and brake lines, will i have to get my shocks redone? (i have works shocks on back in both)
  19. ouch, and i need 2 of them! any cheaper alternatives? how is like SLC or swingarm shop off ebay?
  20. those look pretty nice, how much? no prices on the site.
  21. yea my 97 came with the lonestar, that thing is beat to hell, almost no chrome left on it, but it still works perfectly. i got the 2006, parked her next to the 97, and was like WTF this thing looks like a blaster with that narrow ass rear axle and tires.
  22. this is it, i havent even recieved it yet, i was just adjusting the chains on my 2 banshees, and i was thinking fuck this shit sucks! once i get a little debt from the new one payed off, i want to switch both to a round carrier rear swinger. http://prm-atv.com/MN.asp?pg=products&...342&from=57
  23. he didnt like how hard the seat was, said it was very uncomfortable, the way you have to sit so forward and down on it, and if your going fast on dirt roads the way it starts to feel really darty because it is so light in the front. he was comparing this to my 97 shee, which has toomeys, works shocks etc. we were planning on buying a work quad this spring, so it works out fine.
  24. who makes a stock length round carrier swingarm that i can use the prm z-swingarm plate with?
