  1. Hi Guys, I'm looking for a nice set of handle bars for my Banshee, but I want to retain my factory key. I want to use the key with the bars and pad on. I am a tall rider, about 6'2" and the bike is for 95% trails. All ideas and comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks. Shaun
  2. Hi Guys, I am looking to have my T-5's powder coated with a high temp powder so it will last for a good while. My satin black T-5's took a beating over the winter with the salt and snow. They are starting to rust a little now in certain places. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Shaun
  3. I had a really bad vibration in the Banshee after I had a set of Pure Sports Bandit XC's installed on the rear. When the bike was in 6th, the bike was shaking apart!! I had the dealer replace the tires with a set of Razr's and the bike was fine ever since.
  4. 2nd Class Marine Engineer working on a dynamically positioned drill rig offshore Macae, Brazil. Working 4 weeks on and 4 weeks off.
  5. I went for a ride on my Banshee today to make sure that my jetting is fine since I ordered the Toomey T-5 race kit. The jetting is perfect. The plugs are a tan almost all over. Anyway, it was had been raining here for a few days and I went through a lot of water and pot holes. I am currently running the stock air box with the snorkel removed and 12 little plug-in filters which come with the kit. When I got back, the air box was completly covered with mud on the sides and the back. Would you recommend me to keep using this set-up or to go with the 2-into-1 with outerwear. There was hardly any mud where this would be mounted to BTW. Thanks. Shaun
  6. Ah, I thought that some one would notice my car. Yes, it a 2000 Viper GTS/ACR. It's lightly modded as well. It's making over 500 flywheel horse power! It's a fun ride as well! It costs a lot more to run than the Bashee!!! To answer the question, the plates come with the Banshee when I purchased her at the dealer. It saves a lot of problems when I deal with the Fuzz on the trails!!! Cheers, Shaun
  7. Here is a few pics of my '08. I just installed the Toomey T5 Race Kit alond with the AC Racing bumpers. The Shee also has full PRM skids and Maxxis Razers. What a blast to drive!!!
  8. Hi Guys, I am getting ready to order the T5K kit from Toomey when I get back to Canada. I am going with the high temp satin paint from Toomey as well. I prefer the black to the chrome. Anyway, the bike is a stock 2008 Banshee. I am not planning on doing much else with the bike so I decided on these pipes. I might do a port job later on down the road. The bike is on trails for 95% of the time. Should I also order a set of V-Force 3 reeds to complement the Toomey pipe kit? Thanks. Shaun
  9. Newfoundland Pits, Trails, Gravel roads, Ski-doo trails, Where-ever! '08 Banshee
  10. I was speaking to my good friend - the Service Manager at Yamaha a few minutes ago and he told me that this is common with all of the new Bandit XC that they receive. These tires are lashed down on a pallet when they are shipped here to Newfoundland. He assured me that this is common and he told me to ride the bike to soften the tires. He said that they should be fine after a few runs if not, he will take care of the problem.
  11. Hi Guys, I own an '08 Banshee and this is my first mod. The stock rear tires only held up for a few rides and now they are like bologna skins. Anyway, I purchased a set of new Pure Sports Bandit XC's and had them mounted at Yamaha here in Newfoundland. Took the bike for a run today and she is shaking her brains out. In 6th gear, she'll almost throw you off. These are brand new tires!! What happened and where do I go from here. Thanks.
  12. This is here in Newfoundland, Canada.
  13. Hahahaha! I didn't even notice the bicycle reflectors! I'm only going to mildly modify the bike. A set of pipes and silencers with matching jets and a K&N cone for the air box is the only plans for now.
  14. Here are a few pics. Picked up the bike today and had a quick run there earlier on. Should of had this bike years ago. What a blast to drive.
  15. I just looked at the '07 Banshee. What a piece of crap!! The silencers are missing. One of the front wheels is back about an 1" from the other. The the front fender is scuffed really bad. The brake reservoir is scuffed really bad. Looks like the bike was rolled over. The gaurds on the pipes, the gear cover and the pegs got the paint removed from use. This is an '07 - fack! The rear rim is banged in. The bike was stolen twice. $6000 CAN!? My fathers 18 yr old Big Bear is mint compared to this. What a waste of time. I think I'll be looking elsewhere.
