  1. i got the stock reeds and reed cages... they are in good stiff shape but is there anyway i can buy new high perf pedals or somthing like that for them? my bill is high enough with my mods coming so i dont want new cages.
  2. thats what ive heard about pistons the namuras and pro x's... im going to go with wisecos because of their rep. yeah ive also heard around 40 bucks per cylinder for boring.. hes nuts.. im staying away from him.

  4. okay i was just on the phone with my local builder that i do not do very much business with. he claims "guys in the industry prefer wsm pistons" he gave me no reason but thats what he said.. he also said a bore would go about 80 dollars a cylinder.. anyone know where i can get it done cheaper? im gunna call my local dealer right now and see what they get for a bore. he was also the one that "runs 80:1 in his rz350 and it had no wear what so ever" he is also the reason my engine is in pieces.. haha. well i dont mind becuase i wanted to do some internal work to her anyways. let me know how accurate he is.

  7. the funny thing is that he just got his engine back from a builder that rebuilt it.. guess it was the builders falt.. wonder if his piston is upside down?
  8. My buddy says he reinstalled his shifter to be 1 up 5 down.. is this possible/true? and if it is how do you go about doing it because i want to do it.
  9. mine is doing that too i was told it was jetting but i havent messed with it yet as my engine is in pieces

  12. Is it possible to shut up toomeys? I am racing flat track and the requirement is under 96 decibals. I know if i buy aftermarket pipes they will be loud.. is it possible to shut them up?
  13. an equalizer tube is the tube that goes from intake to intake.. he has that replaced with a boost bottle. your talking about the choke tube.. you need to connect that from carb to carb.. or your bowls are switched. if its not that your boost bottle has cracked your intakes and you need to replace them
  14. stock airbox.. with filter 25 bucks.. you pay shipping.
  15. when you come to a stop try letting the clutch out some so it drops into gear, i have to be rolling to drop through all the gears.. let me know if it works.

  17. I dont need to run cooler considering im in wisconsin. I prolly should be thinking about a heating element to keep it warm when its running :yelrotflmao: JK! and most of my hours are in the winter.

  21. hey guys, i was wondering what is acctually being milled on the stock head of you mill it .040 over. Does milling the head give the same performance as a cool head or is milling a head just for compression increase and nothing to do with cooling? someone needs to straighten this out for me.. please let me know.. thanks
  22. its a 100:1 oil... so 80:1 is actually rich.. if that makes sense..
  23. well i got the head off and there is major play in the left piston. this is exactly the piston i thought to be slapping and exactly the reason i was going to rebuild. and i just found out it is the stock bore.. and stock pistons.. no rebuild in 11 years.. damnn banshees can be reliable
  24. i already smashed a finger yesterday.. im doing this day by day taking my time so im in no rush today will be day three since it was in one piece. I was thinking tip it forward so cheers to that and it really does get hung up on the rear. Ill see how it goes tonight.. thanks guys
  25. check for piston slap.. you could be running on one cylinder with the other one blown... this happend to mine and im in the process of rebuilding.
