  1. AGREED, my friend just had his warrior rebuilt by a renound builder around here. his tally was close to 900 bucks. to do the same on a 2 stroke would be a 3rd of that.. but then again the banshee does have 2 cylinders.
  2. the top end deal is WRONG! and you dont need deep pockets as long as you buy the right stuff. My banshee is stock internally.. never been opened up and its almost 12 years old. its a 96 manufactured in 95. The only reason they blow up is usually rider/operator fault. such as not mixing the gas.. using low quality oil and what not. i will admit 2 strokes are a little more sensitive where as 4 strokes are bullet proof. the reason being they are a little more sensitive is because of the rpm range.
  3. the picture on my profile is a 1996 Yamaha Banshee that i call mine  Ill be willing to trade or sell my plastic. its red front and rear. yellow gas and radiator.
  4. youll be disapointed you didnt get a shee. they are generally nice machines that run forever and they pack a pretty big punch but its a different kind of power as its a 4 stroke. I have a friend that has one and he said its only good for sitting there and looking good. It all depends what your looking for. Most everyone on here will say go fo the shee
  5. ARNT WE ALL!?!?!?!
  6. clean carb and running great. thanks
  7. never to young for anything man. I live in wisconsin. The BEER State.
  8. i will go through 4 strokes and get bigger and badder ones but every shee i buy im keeping thats a fact!
  9. Hey Guys, Im not as good with carbs as I am with the other functions on my machines. I was wondering how to clean the carb on my 2003 Kawasaki Mojave as it sputters and isnt feeding right. What are the steps? Do I really have to take the jets out? Thanks
  10. my banshee wont leave my possesion. i hope to have a fleet of them as i get older.. they are so kick ass!
  11. haha i just got back from a highschool football game. School Spirit + Banshee on my mind = Banshee Spirit
  12. like i said earlier in this topic. the right banshee will find you. give it some time and dont go out and buy the first thing you see, in most cases a deal thats too good to be true, isnt true or there is something hidden. again, take your time.
  13. Okay... we all sort of, in some way or another take our banshees for granted. If yamaha's engineers never designed this awesome machine most of us would be without a friend. Reply to this if you agree with me that the Yamaha Banshee, No matter what year, or condition is the best machine in the motorsports world. Thanks to Yamaha and all its fine engineers. Banshee Pride.. Haha
  14. mine has the infamous chain slap.. is that really all you need is the top end of the case.. i personlly think it wrecks my whole banshees apperance so i will definiatly look into buying the top half.. wish i woulda found one that wawsnt like mine but for 1500 bucks i got an awesome deal.
  15. id say find a 4 banger. i dont think a v is possible without heavy modification.
  16. its not legally a four wheeler in wisconsin. its over 900 cc. just pointing it out. You cant register it meaning you cant ride it.
  17. the 96 sounds to be a fair deal. i got my 95 100 percent stock for 1500. im sur eyou could work him down a little. take your time when your shopping find the right one man! all i can say is TAKE YOUR TIME. youll find the best deal that way.
  18. i think i experienced the same thing on my Kawasaki Mojave. I was going in 4th and let off and i let off and pulled in the clutch and it died. I know for a fact that the carb is dirty because my pipe melted a whole in the airbox when out on the trails. Im gunna clean my carb. interesting to see the same scenario,
  19. id say go with your gut feeling. i have bought many of machines and i know from experience if theres somthing your not sure about dont make the deal. just look the machine over end to end really really really good. if you see somthing that isnt right ASK the guy handeling the transaction.
  20. im going with the stock one thats on there now.. thanks guys
