Could that be the reason it doesn want to go into first. As a matter of fact now that I think about it the bike does lurch a bit forward when you first put it in gear. The tires will also move if its on blocks and in gear.

I'm pretty sure its an older one cause it sounds like it is leaking when I press on it. It moves the clutch arm fine and it doen't leak too much fluid from what I see but it hisses.

Ihave not stomped on the shifter but the previous owner may have I jjst bought it last month and just got it running good. I think the freeplay is ok I have a magura clutch pull that I am still figuring out. Not sure of what clutch arrows are I use pro honda oil 85w i think just changed it.

Here is the problem I have rencently had trouble getting the banshee to go into first when i stop. It just won't go into first. Then I'll turn off the engine and it clicks right into first no problem.. Is this a clutch issue or what?

No the kit just came with the caps. I do have a vito idle kit but it does nothave any instructions. Plus is works good now I don't want to fiddle around uless I have too. i was just wondering if anyone else opted not to use an idle kits and just used the adjustments on the caps.

I just took the tors off my banshee and i replaced the caps with aftermarket ones. The ones I got came be adjusted with a screw on the caps which pulls the slides up and down. Can I use this to keep the bashee idleing or do I have to get the idle kit. The ways I have it now it idles fine but I am wondering if I will have problems in the future.

Like the title says. Need and air box no top but with no holes in it. Also I need a stock axle that's not bent.

You guys may want to keep some of those details out of your posts. You never know who looks at these sites. But for me we have a few places in riverhead that we used to ride alot but the dec and parks police started to impound. What a waste of time and tax payer money. Aren't there criminals to catch?

In my opinion a 450r will beat you bike. Unless you got some other mods that you did not mention.

The only reason they are out there is that they have to respond to the complaints that they get. the real problem is that Long Island has changed in a big way in the past 10 years. All the city people decided to move out to Long Island where is is nice and quiet. Tye want it as quiet as posible so they rally together and get the law to work for them. The riders on long Island however don't do sh-t they ride on streets and on private land and b-tch because they get kicked off and impounded. What riders need to do iS get together and get a place where we can legally ride beFore it is too late. Join a group or write some letters to a legislator thats the only way we can get a place to ride without getting in trouble!! A 1. Suspension dated in my opinion, heavy front end, no bottom end, date all together. 2. No j arms are the only really major differences btw years. 3. J arm s are terrible they are very weak I got hit by a 300ex (not too fast) and it twisted the j arn in half I was surprised how weak it was. 4. Not sure whay they are more expensive on the west coast but I think if you wait it out you will find a good deal. Ask around tell your buddies but don't by an 87 for more tha 1500 even if it is in really good shape.

I had a little play in mine and I thought it was ok, but I was wrong. I drag raced my buddies up and down a mile long stretch of beach like ten times full throttle top speed. Then I stopped to let it cool off. When I hopped back on I started up a little hill and when I got to the apex of it all of the sudden wham I m thrown off the banshee and it is flipping right at me. It stopped before it hit though. So I though a tire fell of or somehting. BHut it was the bottom ball joint dropped out of the a arm and spiked in the ground sending me flying. All i could think of was if that happened 10 minutes before I would had been really messed up or dead. So if you think it might need replacing replace it before you could really get hurt.
