  7. if gas pours out one cyliner might not be right.. i have a 20 HP Mercury outboard boat motor and one piston was blown and it poured out gas but ran for like a little bit then fell on its face kinda like how you described your shee. with a fresh rebuild youd think everything would be good but maybe one side is acting up..
  8. ice riding.. the only tires i run on the ice are cheng shin flat track nobbies. i put 2 studs in each lug for traction. heres the tire... http://specialtytirestore.com/flat_track_knobby.htm i was looking at toomey's 2 into 1 filter minus the airbox... is that any good?
  9. becuase i put it all together to see what you guys think of it
  10. dang i sink 4 wheelers all the time right through the ice. hit a soft spot and your done. all i do is drain all the fluids and replace them with new ones. depends how bad tho. asolutly make sure there is no water sitting in the case. my 4 stroke was 1400 bucks to fix becuse the whole inside rusted out.
  11. im going to port after the top end goes. everybody is acting like i dont know what jetting is. i stated jetting is stock as the machine is also as of right now. when i mod it i will rejet the carb accordingly.
  12. as i said.. im going to rejet accordingly
  13. as far as riding style, it is mostly flat out speed on the ice. i want a huge amount of top and i want to get there fast.
  14. im going to rejet it accordingly so im not worried about that... fast as in 440 EX killer.
  15. the machine is virtually stock. so stock jetting. i couldnt tell you the numbers.
  16. there is a site called Mods3 its www.partsforatvs.com and if you go to the dirtdoggs part of that site all the "dirttdoggs" live and ride in NJ. Contact them.

  18. 15/41 Gearing w/ 20's Toomey T-5's Cool Head 20 CC Domes running 100LL at 40:1 Amsoil Dominator Timing Advance of 4 Degrees Aluminum Airbox w/ High Flow Filters Will it be fast? What would you make changes to? what would you add that wouldnt break the bank?
  19. Are these any good? they sure are cheap. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Bans...1QQcmdZViewItem
  20. my buddy has a warrior that does this out of random too. he cleans the carb and it runs like new.
  21. what size tires for the most pull through all the gears? and what should my gearing be?
  22. timing plate sounds like a good idea. 3 or 4 degrees, what does that go by as far as the difference between 3 and 4 degrees?
  23. My stock banshee beats my friends 416 ex as of right now. He is planning on getting a 440 Big Bore and he is going to gear it so its extremely fast.... Quote Him. I need to be able to beat him by the winter time when we race on the ice. Im planning on getting Toomey T5's, and im going to get an aluminum airbox w/ high flow filters. what can i do to beat him without going over 500 bucks. im not going to port until the top end goes so that is out of the picture for now. im talking bolt ons, modifications, and gearing/tires, also considering a coolhead and domes. Thanks for any input.
  24. thanks guys
  25. its the stock pipes. mine does it too. you know how they loop around, well in the bottom of that loop there is used oil from the 2 stroke cycle. when you run it hard it blows that oil out as it burns it up and it smokes like CRAZY!! its a yamaha flaw. aftermarket pipes would fix it.
