  5. Man! I hate to say it but your feedback rating is not so good!
  6. Just did my cylinders last weekend, I used aircraft stripper-the brush-on kind, worked like a champ. I have also used the aerosol stripper which works well but the fumes are DEADLY NASTY!
  7. After polishing cylinders, How would you keep them looking good? Clearcoat or someting?
  8. Thanks for the info. Yes, I am a self admitted cheap ass but also I ain't no dumbass either:biggrin: I am very impressed with his website, I will most likely just send my flywheel to him. Thanks again!
  9. I think I will take you up on that offer, If anything, I will take it to a machine shop if I can't do it myself. I would like to at least TRY doing it myself cause I like to do things myself and learn as I go along. pm. me with the details plz.
  10. How can I get a hold of him? I will probably just send it to him, I dont think I will tackle this job myself after all.
  11. Lathe? Whats that? I thought I could do the job with a hacksaw, sandpaper and a ruler!LOL!
  12. At least you didnt forget to install the wrist-pin!
  13. Just sitting here drinking some relaxing beverages viewing this site agian and searching for lightened flywheels, sounds like a good idea. I was wondering if I could do this myself but wondering exactly what material is removed, Making it narrower like cutting a ring off the back side, or increasing the inside diameter? Just a thought, I know about how important balancing is, but I have tools! Any encouragement would be greatly appreciated!
  14. Check out the auction, E-bay ones dont include the wrist pin bearings, Magic does, Thats what i bought.
  15. Whats up guys? I am ready to put some agressive dune ported cyls. with boost ports on my shee. My mods are as follows: toomey t 5's timing plate at +4 degrees noss cool head w/19cc comes v-force 3's stock carbs w/tors. removed 5000' elevation I am going to put it all together when the cylinders come in. I am going to go with weisco pro-lites. Any carb suggestions would be very much appreciated! Cheers, Rudy.
  16. Still got the carbs? I want them if they are in good useable shape. PM me.
  17. Can you pm me with some pics.? Thanks.
  18. I am asking because I may buy some ported cylinders , I dont really want to go into the motor to re-do the crank if I dont have to. All ive done to my bike are bolt ons (all of them) I am looking at a set of drag ported cyls. with the exhaust raised 3mm. Is that a lot of exhaust duration or will I be safe with them?
  19. Hey, I just need to know what happens if you dont weld your crank. Does it bust up the cases or any other parts or does it just break and your motor dont run, any help on this would be greatly appreciated!
  20. Thanks every one for the responses, I'm gonna put the 15 in next weekend, by the way I went riding today and theres no comparison between banshees and all the other bikes at the hills, BANSHEES RULE!
  21. I think I am going to get one of those and stick it on my ass! It would definitely help with the chafing!
  22. Take vitamin b before you go out drinking, stay hydrated (with water) take another vitamin b before you go to bed and take another when you wake up, works like a champ, and if that doesnt work when you wake up just slam another beer!
  23. what kind of case saver do you have? I am sure all of them are farmed out from one manufactuer and to me they all look to be the same design.
  24. I put a small egg shaped bit on my dremel and stuck it through the hole that I drilled, the egg shaped bit has teeth on the back side also. I put it through the hole (clearing everything) then started it up. It only took about two seconds to make a nice 45 degree angle around the inside of the hole.
