  1. I run the shift pro and modded shift star from cascade. They dramatically changed the way my bike shifts. The only downside is it is really easy to down shift if you accidentally bump the shifter down with your foot. All in all I like it!
  2. How much do you need for the entire set-up? Pm me.
  3. Second dibs on the carbs. and intakes. PM me if the first guy doesn't come through.
  4. On second thought, just remove the main jets and drill out the holes to 1/2" and put air filters on top of the intake boots. That will work, (I think).
  5. For the love of god plz. don't do it!
  6. I would say 280 mains. I run 270 and I am at 4850'. Maybe start bigger like 300 and work your way down and do plug chops until you hit pay dirt assuming it has stock carbs. Just my 02. Magic racing is a good place to get jets from.
  7. Sorry, I just hit the search button and entered banshee.
  8. Just bored out of my mind today and I found this site, trx450r.org I searched banshees on there just to see what the four pokers think. Very good reading for sure!
  9. I'll get some pics up soon as I get back into town to take them, just imagine about 10 needle bearings riding on top of your piston@ 8 or 9 thousand rpms, thats what it looks like. as far as jetting, I did a plug chop before going wot. and they looked tits. I have always used yamalube without a problem at all. The other cylinder and piston look perfect and perfect burn pattern on top of the piston as well. I don't know if it would be worth it to take the cylinder back to a machine shop to check if the bore is square, I think I'll just cut my losses on this one and move on. As far is compression I was running 168 psi. on both cylinders, running 110 trick racing fuel, timing was right at 3 degrees advanced , 270 main jets, @ 4800' elevation. I noticed when I took the cylinder off, there was no abnormal wear on the piston skirts that I could see. If anyone has any more info. I would appreciate it cause I am stumped!
  10. I've got the stock airbox and flywheel off of my '06 as they came off my bike both in VERY good condition. How much are they worth?
  11. Damn, you could'nt even build that engine for less than 3g's BUMP!!
  12. I've got a set of cyls. that are mx tt ported but one of them needs to be re-sleeved they are 65.50mm bore they ran really hard. make me an offer.
  13. Nice looking bike man! 190 degrees is about normal.
  14. Their big bore triple exhaust cyls. look tempting. :ermm:
  15. What are prolite cylinders?
  16. Would the yamaha bearings work with a weisco/crank combo are they all the same? Thanks slo! sry. for the double post.
  17. Would the yamaha bearings work with a weisco/crank combo are they all the same? Thanks slo!
  18. I sure hope not cause I am putting in a new stroker crank, virgin cyls. ported by hjr. and new pistons. I would shit my pants if it happened again!
  19. Boy! thats one thick ass catalog! I think the price increases came from the millions of dollars they spent to produce the catalog
  20. Man, that would suck if I got a bad bearing. I just spent alot of money on the top end. Anyone know if I can get better wrist pin bearings than what wiseco sends with their pistons?
  21. Yup, I soaked the pistons, rings, and bearings as I was prepping everything else. The rod looks like it didn't get damaged at all. Do you think that the rod would of got hot and maybe got some heat marks or something? Thanks loco.
  22. Is there a wrong way to install a new wrist pin bearing? Humm.?
  23. I finally began my engine tear down today. I originally thought I detonated a piston, but, when I took that cylinder off I noticed I had a wrist pin bearing failure totally ruining my left cylinder. I don't get it since my top end only has about 3 hrs. on it. I installed new wiseco piston kits on both cylinders, new bore, everything. I would really like to know what would cause the wrist pin bearings to fail so quickly. I am getting ready to ship out my stock jugs to kevin at hjr this week and I really dont want to mess those cylinders up. any suggestions are very much appreciated.
