  1. I had the exact same problem with my k&n's I just cleaned the oil off of the inside of the outlet and used the stock boot clamps cause they are skinnier, the hose clamps that came with the k&n's were twice as wide as the carb neck so they just slipped right off. The stock clamps work really well!
  2. Hey, for all the replies fellas, Now I know why I like this site so much, lots of good people in here!

  4. any one know if i could just replace my front 14 tooth front sprocket with a 15 tooth and get away with using my stock chain? I've got an o6 and everything is still pretty new-just hate to throw good parts away!
  5. Thanks man! Preciate the info!

  7. Getting ready to order some k&n air filters for my stock carbs and engine. My question is, what size jets would be a good starting point? The elevation I ride at is around 5k. any advise would be greatly appreciated!
  8. I've been flushing all the oil out with new oil and riding it for a few miles and changing it completely. The metal particles seem to be getting smaller and smaller The aftermarket chain sliders sound like a really good idea, but where can I find them?
  9. Blocked the back end up today underneath the rear skid plate and fired her up. I found out that the lower chain roller was the culprit. Now I am not so worried! Thanks for all the help.
  10. I just adjusted the chain about 30 minutes ago but the noise got a little worse, Thank you for the encouragement!
  11. Newby here, By the way, GREAT SITE! Anyway, I am the proud owner of an 06 shee that supposidly has only 20 hrs. on it and it actually looks almost brand new. My question: is it normal for the tranny to make a high pitched whining noise kinda like a super charger noise on a performance v-8? I also changed the tranny oil and there are tiny aluminum like particles in the oil. Please tell me this is normal. Any advise or info. is greatly appreciated!
