I make 40k and have a house and a kid to pay for and in the small time I have to myself I do this. play with turbo's and 2 strokes. I have no problem with firehead. Only when he says things that ar enot fact and bashes me with it. NOT NEWS!!!!! I'm hated on this forum..... I don't really care either. A bit of rivalry is what some people need to get throught the day. eh..... But either way I'm still full of ideas and the skills to pull through. just don't have the bank roll.... wish I did though, cause appriently by the pics in your post you do. KUDOS!!!! MAF off a mustang,.... $15 CLT and IAT sensors from a mailorder place....$22 throttlebodies from ebay (came with TPS)......$45 megasquirt 2 kit.....$199 Also I bought an Innovate LC-1 WB02 so I don't have to tune the fuel anymore.......$199 About 9 hours to build the mega 2 hours to make a plenum and install the sensor in the head about 20 hours to make the wire marness and work out the bugs. about 200 hours of drinking and looking at it...LOL (mostly for ideas) Firehead.... nothing personal, just being a dick for the bashing I got from you before. But on the other hand.... if you don't know about something, then don't act like you do..... and that's just being fair, isn't it? I don't tell you stuff I don't know about. I just think this whole EFI thing is compromised by the "fear of the unknown" thing. people don't do it because they can't buy a "kit" that any moron can use. EFI at this piont is reserved only for the "outside the box" people like me and streetshee or even RZbansheeman who wants to try it. My bike is taking longer than it should've because I went from knowing jackshit straight to what was meant to be next years finished product. and that's just it right there. I would've been done 3 months after i started if I would've stuck to my guns and just did efi only first. Plus I threw out the CDI and I'm using the megasquirt to do my spark too. Which I had to do for the turbo. It all ties together.

....right..... make sure you put some grease fittings on your helmet now so you can fit that big head in there still.

anyone remember the "stratocharger" was in dirtwheels a bunch of years ago. It was basically a fan wheel on the flywheel of a 250r. Supposedly it made another 10hp with this thing on there. (dyno sheets were printed) the airbox pressure made it just over 3.5psi. It was something else alright...hehe.... but it worked. Anyone can do anything if they research it enough and have the means to make it happen. I'm not one to shoot people down with their ideas. A supercharger is a power robber yes, but I bet i could take a t-3 turbo and cut it in half.... slap a 75:1 gearbox on it and call it a supercharger...... alittle pulley action and voila! SUPERBANSHEE Anyone heard of the superbeast? They told him he couldn't do it either, but he has a 4-71 on his v-force. try convincing bruce or al of these lies on the megasquirt forum.... I'd love to see that. You can throw this crap around on the HQ, but you should try it where people actually know these systems intimately. Half the things you said here aren't even close.... like... "First, the common sampling limitation of the processor will only support a maximum effective redline of 11750rpm." The 36-1 wheel I'm using has been tested past 20k rpm. so 20k rpm times 36 teeth.... what's the sample rate there? And besides dude, my bike is proof that it works fine with a 2 stroke... and a turbo.... all the way to my 12,500rpm limit. Be at quadfest in july and i'll prove it to you. bottom line..... don't knock it til' you've tried it. And if you have and you found a set-up by some miracle that hasn't been done before, megasquirt will eat it up with room for seconds. www.msefi.com start reading firehead, then I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on stuff like this.

hahaha.... Megasquirt does the same shit and is easier to use for about $400... motec is a high dollar knockoff of your average factory programming. yeah it was a while ago. Sorry to hear about all that $$$ going down the drain man. $399 was for the +4 and the carrier.... I used the carrier :biggrin: So I guess I lied about getting nothing for my $399. The carrier was awesome... twinrow and zerk fitting, nice! Are you saying that I can send you back my swinger for something else or credit of some sort? Or $$$? $$$ would be nice... :happy:

I won one of his +4" swingers a while back. It was about 4.5 degrees off center to the left.... no big deal. I got ahold of him and he sent me another... same thing. I ended up getting a modquad swinger instead. I got to talk to someone from the shop that was making them and I was told that the jig got set-up wrong and about 100 swingers got made crooked. Sux man.... but I never did get anything of use for my $399. I would still like to get that $$$ back someday. Or something at least....

I was using vforce 2's with my 2-1 and I had to clean up the boot area (pockets in the corners) and where it mated with the reeds. It just makes sence...

that's why I say this jacko maybe you should do some config changes to maximize a change like that in the length of your intake. you might have had better luck. If your bike is piped for high rpm then spacers are a bad choice. If your the type of person that's looking for a "peak hp" then cool, but I'd take a 40hp bike over a 60hp bike anyday if the powerband was 5Krpm long. I had shearers for a while and the 1K rpm powerband was pretty laim for anything but a holeshot.

It will work fine. It's a 38mm kiehin I think. I used a 38mm mikuni TMX flatslide and I had great power. almost like twins, but all the bottom end.
