  1. ok back to educating the interest peeps. nevermind these other dicks knocking me... I would say that's a great idea with the 2-1 intake ...single TB is the way to go I'd say for a first timer. I'm a machinist so fabricating a set of tb's to make them work for me was within my grasp. I'd say try to get yourself an old graydon 2-1 intake and use that to mount a 46mm huyabusa TB or something comparable. Then you could mount some injector bungs right before the reeds and be all set with it. start reading up on the megasquirt site... www.msefi.com under the general dissusion topic you'll see "megamanuel". Check that out. you will only need a MS1 for basic fuel control. The only reason I went ahead and used MS2 with full control (spark and fuel) is because I wanted to get rid of the CDI box. It doesn't put out enough spark energy for a high boost engine. So in order to do that I had to make a custom stator/generator. Not easy for your first efi project! Stick to the fuel only.... so here's a list for you to start checking off... READ!!!! look around and make a parts list read more!!! you will need a ford mustang MAF a set of TB's with a TPS sensor ( any crochie from 02' up) MS1 set up for VR(trigger coil) input (where it gets the crank reading from) or you could get the signal from the negative of your coil. Depends on what you want to do... coil neg is easier prob. you will need to have a battery in your system for the mega's power. so get a rect/reg from a warrior and run the power wire for your lights into the rect, then from that into your battery MSD 2225 fuel pump.... it only needs 3 amps(about 50w) and WILL work with a ricky stator 200w basically the only thing the mega needs is: tach input TPS MAF MAP (on the mega's circuit board) 12v just read throught the "config" part of the manuel to see what you have to do. STAY IN TOUCH WITH ME!!!! I will answer all your questions when you get stumped. I had plenty of problems to work through. mostly I had to figure it out for myself since no one had done this before. But here I am to help you bro. so take advantage! ~ turbobanshee420 (douche bag of the year) take your notes haters!
  2. well if I wasn't a working/family man I could have spent more than 1 or 2 hours at a time on it. It's a shame it's taken this long, but rome wasn't built in a day as they say. I don't see you building anything that they don't sell as a kit... It is easy to efi your bike. try it. I did way more than just that though if you care to notice. I'd love to post more pics/vids instead of sitting here at work talking to you guys. but i like $$$ even more. sorry bro your just gunna have to wait like the rest of us. I haven't even seen my banshee is 3 weeks. It sux working 12.5hr nights!
  3. all good wallace84... yeah I think that's alot of wieght for just an intake. I'm thinking of taking off the cross over tube part off the intake. seems like just too much crap on there. it seems like your not the only one to misinterprate the things I say... . haha
  4. Well thanx guys! That was all I wanted in the beginning. I just wish people could see the whold picture before talking down to me. If any of you guys know what I have done to keep things going around my joint then you would all have a different opinion of me. I'll just have to post some videos of what it's like then you'll all see. Wallace84..... man you have to go to page 4 of this thread and look at my intake to understand what I'm taking about. I'm not putting you down! I'm just a stern talker. but.... please look at my pics... you'll see... cylinder>reed block>vforce reeds>intake>throttle bodies Thanx bro. Rzbanshee... Thanx dude I will continue to post as much info as I can as long as I don't have to keep putting dumbassholes in their place. In agrivating to say the least! dajogejr.... your an ass. if you think what i do is no different than that, than you are just dumb. I'll stop reading what you write now cause your just a bitter fuck. do me a favor and just stay home.
  5. You remind me of my 7 year old nephew. But he's probably smarter, and obviously more of a grown up. looks like you've come down with diareaha of the mouth...
  6. that nova looks tits dude!!! KUDOS on that fine ass chevy shoebox
  7. unless you want to race... get the raptor. It's a blast to ride... and WAY more comfortable than the 450. The seat hieght thing isn't anything to worry about unless your a fat ass. Just learn how to use some body english is all. The seat is only like 2 or 3 inches taller than the banshees seat. I ride my good friend craptor alot of the time... I love it! It's spunky... even in stock form. And the EFI is a HUGE +.... anytime you don't have to rejet is a good time. EFI is the future bro
  8. maybe.... Or maybe god will come down from heaven and give me congrats on stickin' it to the man!
  9. man you 2 guys sure know how to kill a thread with your banter. still looking for some gears peeps.... and no one ever actually answered me on the kicker gear Q...???
  10. Thanx for your diagnosis on my bike... just save your key strokes and look at my pics if you need to see for yourself man
  11. BWAHAHAHAHA...LMAO.... :yelrotflmao: well than cheers to the douche bags of america! At least I don't roll over belly up and give up like you snop! You guys act like this sport HAD a good name... It never did...Trikes gave quads a bad name since before there even was a banshee. When was the last time you mentioned a quad and got a smile from someone. You guys should come visit me out here on the east coast, then you'll know what I put up with. All I can tell you guys is that I don't really appreciate people just giving up on quads because some politician said "you can't do that".... If you want to let the man stomp you out.... then go ahead! Go get yourself a 300ex and stay in the woods! I know that I'll still be out there riding as much as I can afford, fighting my ass off to keep what I do have left to ride. Because in the end, whether your a good boy or not.... NICE GUYS FINISH LAST You poor guys let your thousands of dollar machines just sit and rot in your garages because you don't have the balls to go ride some place cool near home, all for the simple fact that you don't take risks. F that man.... My time on this earth is way too short to worry about cryin' over giving quads an even worst name. Just give me my pirate flag and I'll give the pigs a nice big fat middle finger! along with all the pussies too....you know who u are PS... you guys make me blush...hahaha... keep'm comin'
  12. makes for a handy wrench..... that's it!
  13. Ever heard of google? www.trinityracing.com www.ebay.com check the stores for dealers....e-mail around you'll find good deals www.trickracing1.com for starters.....
  14. what is everyones obsession with nit-picking termonology? it's the same as saying rightside... but it depends on what side your standing on. I said behind because the air passes through in that direction. carbs being of course in FRONT of the manifold. i.e. reed blocks are BEHIND the reeds. or you could just look at it for yourself as I suggested for the confused peeps
  15. yeah... download the wiseco PDF and match bike and piston to #'s
  16. If you have a billet intake with a built in crossover....then the carb boots shouldn't even have a place to put the boost bottle, unless of course you have to use your stock boots on the intakes. I have the same intake....Modquad is it... or a copy anyways. I love it. I put on a set of 1/2" spacers behind the reeds to get them farther away from the ports. And let me tell ya... It woke that bitch right up. pipes hit way harder (shearer) maybe it had something to do with the way I ported the reed box. I took about 10mm off the bottom of the intake ports and put a nice curve down toward the crank. So I think thats why it runs better with the reeds backed away. you can see the manifold in my pics on the turbo banshee thread. .02 cha-ching
  17. Sorry bro but that is where your wrong. All generators only produce a field big enough to accomidate the draw.... I.E. 100w light bulb only needs 100w from the stator, so the stator only makes 100w. I just wnet through all this making a stator for my efi system. I took an old burned up stator (electrix 18 pole) and I made my own with some 14g magnet wire. and a rectifier/regulator. I'm making over 500 watts. Check my pics on the turbo banshee's thread (general disscusion) It's actually alot easier than you think. read up on some google shit about stator rewinding... "3 phase basics" or "stator rewind" or check the "GSresourses"... you'll find some DIY stuff that will make you want to try it yourself. The ricky stator guys laughed at me when I told them I can make over 500w out of a banshee stator. well, I proved them wrong too. Look into it. you can use 2 large guaged phases for your lighting without using a rect/reg and the third phase use small gauge wire for your CDI. Small guage = high voltage (good for spark) large gauge = High current ( good for huge lights) GOOGLE IT!
  18. Cool Bro!!! I AM! Thanx Tony Nah man, potatoes... I'm looking for some straight cut potatoes! you have a grinder? I need to do some clutch work...douche... find something else to do besides post on all my threads. When I need a "know it all" I'll PM ya. I'm sure you'll have somekind of self flattery to respond with so let me save you the trouble and just tell you now that I don't care.
  19. I'm looking for a set of stright cuts for the turbo shee, but I'm leary about all the ones I'm finding on egay. All of them are no name brand crap. Who's got a good set for less than $400???? RDZ good? Do I need to get the kicker gear too? Fill me in boyz! I know tons of you guys have straight cutters in your bikes... help me out on some info before I drop a bunch of dough!!! Thanx ~ TurboBanshee420 Turbobanshee status ~ still awaiting the last CNC peice for the oil pump
  20. yeah I'm sure your a real professional... I never took the class that taught me that the clutch not releasing was "normal"... I must have been out riding a bike that works that day.
  21. I'll tell you guys what.... I'll have some time off of work on the 3rd. I'll take good pics of all this stuff and post it then. Thanx~ TurboBanshee420

I probably have one
  23. I had the same problem.... Here is how to fix it... The name of the game is... GET OIL INTO THOSE PLATES! #1) Get new springs #2) Get some 80w Bel-Ray Gear-Saver and run it about 1/2" higher than the line on your dip. That will get more oil into the plates and stop it from grabbing. That thick oil you have in there sux! I ran it in all my bikes until I started using Gear Saver.... I'll never go back!!! #3) make sure the lines on the arm and case match up without the clutch pulled in. If not, then adjust the pushrod.... Not the lever/cable adjuster! If it still grabs then take all your fibers out and grind (with a dremel tool cut-off wheel) a small 45* slot every 60* on the plate on both sides. Only grind through the material not into the metal underneath. angle the groove so it would be sucking oil into the plates while it's rotating.( the clutch spins CCW) the groove should be facing this way....... / on the front side. Don't make more than 6 grooves in each side though... and space them so they are even and stagger the grooves so the ones on the other side aren't matching the ones on the 1st side. ( I only recommend doing this if you are a novice engine builder. ) I did this to my old '95 CR125. It worked awesome. I never had a problem cold starting it again.
  24. I was just wondering if any of you guys are in the area and are going to the MX nationals. I will definately be there with my son chillin' right next to the big 140' flyoff!!!! If any one of you guys wants to come drink a beer or 2 with me then come on down for the pro's on sunday the 29th. Maybe another pro will break his neck like J. Jones did last year...
  25. I have one.... It rips! But the radiator is WAY too small and I have bad problems with it overheating. I've already gotten the implellar and cooler...blah blah.... But all in all I'd say I love the bike. It comes with everything you would normally spend $10k just to get for your yamaha or honda already on it. I'd have to say do it!!!! I love mine like a ferrari!!! and it rides like one too. He's asking a bit much though.... I saw one sell on ebay a month ago for $2100 and it wasn't much less good looking than that one. The '05 and '06's are the way to go for that much $$$ Try looking around first, that way you can get a good idea of what's out there.
