  1. Well, I'm tired of dealing with the headache of having a quad that only runs as long as it takes to put it together, so I'm giving very serious consideration to selling my Banshee and buying a yz426 dirt bike that's for sale locally. I have the engine all back together, but due to some sloppy helicoil work on the head studs, something needs to be done so that the head will torque down to proper specs and seal up okay. I can't promise that what needs to be done can be done easily, but apparently it's fixable by a competent machine shop. Here's what's been done to it: Hot Rods long rod 4mm stroker crank Wiseco 795-series pistons, bored .040 over Herr Jugs Racing dune port Vito's .090 over head spacer plate (cylinders were decked and head was shaved so this is necessary for clearance) Modquad head, 22cc domes milled by Kevin Herr for the 4mm stroker Trinity Stage IV pipes/silencers with Cascade billet clamps UNI 4" pod filters with outerwears (running on stock carbs) VForce 2 reeds Barnett Dirt Digger clutch with Wiseco billet basket Works suspension Alba +2 A arms AC Propeg nerf bars That's pretty much all the important stuff. I'd like to get $2000 out of it, which may seem a bit steep for a bike that needs a little work to get going, but you should be able to get it up and running for less than it'd cost to buy a totally running bike of this caliber, and as much money as I've put into it, I'd be taking an astronomical loss to sell it for any less than that. I'm located in O'Neill NE, and I don't know much about shipping something like this, but if you're willing to either come up and get it, meet me somewhere, or help me work out a deal for shipping, I'll be more than happy to figure something out with you. I'm still mulling over whether I'm definitely going to sell it, but I'm about 80/20 on selling vs. keeping right now so if you're interested, let me know and I'll keep you posted. If I get any hits I can email some pics, but right now I'm honestly too bummed to take any pics of it. Give me a call at 402-394-1036 if you're interested and have any questions.
  2. Since I double-posted, this gives me an opportunity to say that hondarider101 is the only moron that's anywhere near 250r4life on that forum that isn't in his own head.
  3. 250r4life is surrounded by morons... and they're all in his head. What a douchebag.

Kinda north-central/northeast part of the state, about 2 hours north of Grand Island and about 1 hour south of the South Dakota border if that helps.
  5. I was hoping you were kidding... I was worried about you there for a minute.

I hear ya there... I might have to call my Genoa trip off this weekend, as much as gas costs it's probably going to be too expensive to pay for the gas. If we could've gotten more people to go with us it would've been better, but most people with quads around here have something going on this weekend.

    Must be rough... LOL
  8. If it were me I'd hit the plastic with a good shade of red and go with the red graphics. Personally I love the Skin freeride graphics.
  9. Will do, don't hold your breath too long though, 'cuz it's gonna be awhile!
  10. I'd say if it ain't broke don't fix it. However, if you haven't already, I would swap the boost bottle for a stock crossover tube, the boost bottles have a bad tendency to crack the intake boots.
  11. Sometimes, I wish I had a quad that was expendable to me. This is one of those times. That is a badass car, I've always wanted a muscle car and I had a '70 Chevelle that I was going to restore and make into an SS clone, but there was just too much work to do to it and I didn't have the money, so I had to let it go.
  12. Damn nice shee, looks clean too. I have the same Ceet graphics kit on mine.
  13. I haven't had any problems with any of the shipping companies, but my parents bought a folding table off eBay which was delivered by FedEx. The first table was broken during shipping so my parents sent that one back and the eBay seller sent them another one at no charge, and whattaya know, FedEx managed to break this one, too.
  14. Nice build, I bet she's one hell of a sleeper! Speaking of cars with a 2-stroke power band: 9000RPM redline, but VTEC doesn't kick in until 6000. She makes 240HP, from a naturally-aspirated 2.0L 4-cylinder. Only mod I've done to the engine is a short ram intake.
  15. I said it once and I'll say it again, that's the best sounding bike on YouTube. I think that's differentstrokes' old shee.
  16. Yeah... I'm sure that's why you were looking at it... :ermm: Hahaha! :teehee:
  17. Seriously... WTF? First of all, it's a stock Banshee, not exactly "super fast". Also, what's up with their description? Odometer readings on a Banshee? Either they got the auction descriptions between that and a car they're selling mixed up, or they say the exact same thing about everything they sell. If that's the case, I'd like to see them sell a coffee maker. "The odometer readings on this coffee maker are 100% correct!" LOL
  18. That's what those are for? I always figured that was the length of their dicks multiplied by 10.
  19. I bolded the problem in your post, that's exactly what's causing it, I'm 99% sure. I had the same problem with my old YZ250, the intake boot got cracked, and with any blip of the throttle whatsoever I'd be greeted with a million instant RPM's. Replace your intake boots and you should be good to go.
  20. All I can say is... :yelrotflmao:
  21. 98 is going to be about the same as the high-end premium here in the states, that'd be approximately 93-94 octane here in the US. We have some premium here that's only 91-92 though. With regard to the ethanol, yeah, that stuff's definitely not good for small engines.
  22. Sorry to hijack, but for future reference, is there any reason why ready rod couldn't be used to replace the head studs?
  23. Australian octane ratings are different than American octane ratings... Australia uses research octane number for their rating (as does most of the rest of the world) whereas the US uses the average between motor octane number and research octane number, so you guys have higher octane ratings than we do. Seeing as you're close to sea level, I think you'd still be able to run pump gas with 21cc domes, but you'd be cutting it pretty close to the cutoff point between being able to run straight premium gas and having to mix 50/50 premium and race fuel. You should be safe running +4 timing.
  24. If you have an easy-out set or know where you can get one, I would go that route.
