Buddy's stock yfz 450 vs banshee
HammerShee99 replied to kmac91's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I've ridden a stock Raptor 700, and a YFZ450 with a GYT-R pipe, and neither of them felt fast at all to me. Maybe it's just the way the Banshee's powerband hits, but most of the 4 strokes I've ridden just didn't have that same "dump you on your ass if you're not careful" feel that the Banshee has. The only 4 stroke I've been truly impressed with is the YZ426 that I thought about trading my shee for. If those 450's are fast, they sure don't feel like it. -
How to Post Images on BansheeHQ
HammerShee99 replied to HammerShee99's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Whoops, I goofed one of the tags in my post... maybe somebody needs to teach me how to do it. :teehee: Mods, if one of you guys catches this, I need to have the tag for the image under step 3 fixed. the last tag needs to be switched to an img tag. -
This will make selling items on BansheeHQ a bit easier for you, since it'll save you the time of emailing pics to everyone who's interested. Here's the procedure: 1. If you don't already have one, create a PhotoBucket account. This will allow you to upload your pictures to your account and hotlink directly to them. 2. Click on the "Choose Files" button, which will bring up a file menu. Find the picture that you want to upload to your account, double click it, and it will upload to your account. 3. Scroll down the page and you will see the images that you have uploaded to your account, and underneath those pictures several image codes will be listed. For BansheeHQ, you will be using the IMG Code tag. Click in the box with the code, and it will be highlighted. Then right click and click on Copy. 5. Preview your post and make sure the image is posted properly. If you see your picture in the preview window, you're done! If not, check to make sure the code is all correct (check the URL and make sure you copied the entire tag). -------------------------------------------------------------- That's how it's done from PhotoBucket. If you have the file uploaded somewhere else, the procedure is just as simple. There are two ways to go about this: 1. Click on the "Insert Image" button above the text field for your post. 2. If you're using IE (no, I'm not going to try and convince you to switch to a different browser) you might see something like this: 3. Click on the yellow bar, then click "Temporarily Allow Scripted Windows". 4. Click on the Insert Image button again (yeah, I know, it's a bit of an annoyance). 6. Type or paste the URL of the image you're using into the script window. The other way you can do it is a bit simpler... just type (img) then copy or type the URL of your image, then end it with (/img) (replace the parenthesis with brackets). Again, when you're done it should look something like this: You can preview the post to make sure your pic shows up before you post it. If you see your pic in the preview, you're good to go! Hopefully I've covered just about everything here. Sorry if some of the steps I've listed are a bit obvious. If anybody else has anything to add, feel free to chime in.

For that price, I would guess that it's unleaded race fuel. I'm not even sure where you can get VP around here, we get this stuff called Pro Purple 110 octane for $6.25 a gallon.

I'm not sure how $350 sounds for used Fullbores... I think they usually go for quite a bit cheaper than that used, don't they?

Sent me a head gasket and didn't charge me a dime for it. He had it sent out pretty much right away, and it arrived the next day (which is not surprising since he lives about 2 hours from here ). Good guy to do business with, thanks Jesse!

That bike's freakin' gorgeous. DO WANT!

PM sent on the beer can... or not.

A HA HA HA, corny, I get it! Sounds like a Kansas pun to me, Wes.

Hell, I can't sell this thing right now. I just have way too much time, money, and effort into it. Sorry for being so wishy-washy about whether or not I wanted to sell it, but the more I think about it, the more I think I'll be kicking myself if I trade it for a dirt bike, no matter how much more reliable that dirt bike would be for me. For those of you who've expressed interest or intended to express interest, drop me a line and I will keep you posted just in case something should come up, but for now, I think it's best that I hang on to it. -
You have to be an Internet Ninja to get it, I'm afraid.

Well, like he said, he could only put down 10 options, so a lot of guys had to be left off the list. Other than a couple businesses on the list, those are all builders whose names are thrown around A LOT on BansheeHQ, so they probably get the most business from people here.
-
Well, a random check of the BHQ shoutbox brought up this nugget of joy from one Wesley W.: This incited me to make the obvious connection: I figure if owls can say O RLY?, they can certainly say W00T.

how weird are these paddle tires

Oooooooookay then... -
Another vote for Herr Jugs. He does some great work, and he backs it up with awesome customer service. There are a lot of great builders, but if I need anything Kevin always gets my top priority.

I think Oakley usually stamps "Made in USA" and the model of the sunglasses on the inside of the earsocks (this may not be across the board, but I know my M Frames have those things stamped on the earsocks). Other than that, I'm not sure what the best ways to tell are.
-
Two would be preferable, but if one's all you have I could probably get the other one from someone else. Wes, Vito's actually makes this for 4mm stroker setups, and it is a head plate. Kevin hooked me up with it and said it should work fine for my setup since the head's shaved and the cylinders were decked. The domes are already cut, and I don't want to run it underneath the jugs because that would change my port timing.
-
No, this is an actual head spacer plate.
-
I was wondering if anybody has any gaskets for the stock head lying around, I could use a couple to put on both sides of my spacer plate so that I can make sure I'm getting a good seal. Let me know and we can work out a price from there, if you have one or two, either way.

I bet a few hours of pushing around those 22" dead weights would turn the oil in that little 150 to sludge. Might as well pay 2 g's for a bumper sticker that says I AM RETARDED and slap it on your forehead.

I'll check on it and make sure that the head studs can be fixed. I don't see why they couldn't, but I'll make absolutely sure so that nobody's getting something they'll have to dump too much money into.
