  1. If you are at a 330 main you might be rich for your mods. When I ran your same mods I was at 280mains stock pilot and needle position(#3). Thats what I ran at sea level. The added compression might change your octane requirements depending on how much was milled off.
  2. You need the long rod stroker crank, 795 pistons, either spacer plate with stock head or stroker domes with a coolhead type everything else can stay the same. I just built one and had it ported agressive trail and it runs with the YFZ450 all day. I also have some suspension work done and it helps to keep the power to the ground. It is about a 7% increase in all around HP with more bottom end than a stock stroke. If you can wait till you got the cash and do it all for the best effect.

  7. I just had a 4mil done by slobanshee06 and I bought the crank for 385. porting was 275 and pistons around 180 domes 75 so that is around how much it would run separate. If you decide to send out your cylinders turnaround time is fast and customer service is A-1. PM slobanshee06 and talk to him if you want the port. I recommend it my bike runs awesome power everywhere.

  9. I know the rad valves richen up the midrange some over the stock. What number is on the needle's?
  10. I got one from RM Stator. He is in Canada. Have had it for 3 years now and no trouble. It has 2 yellow wires at 100 watts each instead of the single wire Ricky Stator one. You will have to run additional wire with voltage regulator for the other 100 watts. The other wire plugs into your stock harness. I got it on an additional switch and run 2 100 watt bulbs in some PIAA lights.
  11. sounds rich. Lower the needles and see if it helps. screw out your airscrew at the back of the carb. Also make sure those boots aren't leaking. Maybe the guy just made it rich to try and compensate for an airleak. If you want a little more bottom end advance the timing 4 degrees. I did it to mine and you get a little more snap off idle.
  12. I own both and although I love the Banshee like my firstborn, The 450 is better for your type of racing. I tried making the shee race friendly but it just didn't work out. Good luck. :cool:
  13. They are as reliable as anyother as long as you keep up with maintenance. They do require a top end from time to time, it depends how radical you get with it. My all stock bike went to 5 years without a topend job, but I always made sure my gas was mixed properly and my filter was clean. They are a blast to ride.

  17. I had a similar set up and live close to you. I ran a 260main needle slot 3 and a 27.5 pilot. Ran good with no bog.
  18. Just get a manual. Best tool you could have for fixing your bike. I tried to get along without it and It is hard.
  19. Just recently had my stock cylinders ported for my 4mil motor. What a diffrence it made. Brandon Avery(slobanshee06 on here) Did a phenominal job. I have had some big name ports on other Banshee's and his are just as good if not better. Turn around with machine work and piston kits ordered was 3 weeks and he constantly updated me on his progress. Before he touched the cylinders we had a good phone conversation on what I wanted and my riding style. Even sent me a template to do my own case matching. Great customer service and detailed jetting and break in instructions. Highly recommended by me and am very satisfied with his work. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions.
  20. Just had a 4mil done and I went with the stroker domes. All you need are the 795 series pistons from wiseco, the stroker crank, I used the hotrods long rod one. and either coolhead with the +2 stroker dome or the spacer plate. As stated above porting optional. I had mine ported because I heard it is the way to extract max power from the setup.

  22. Seems like your float is stuck. Give it a tap with a screwdriver handle and see if it will stop overflowing. If not you got to pull the carbs and inspect them. Sometimes mine stick while i'm riding. It will run, If the carbs been sitting awhile sometimes the floats stick open and not to mention your jets might be plugged up causing to not run right.
