  1. What would be ideal duration or port height for bottom end? What needs to be done to wake up the lowend? Is the stock porting better than what I have? Plan on running PT mids.
  2. These were done by TDR and It is his recreational or stage 1. Any other measurements you might need let me know. I am trying to put together a low to mid motor and looking around my parts bin.
  3. I got a set of cylinders that where ported a while back. It was a recreational port I measured them and got: 26.75mm fron the top of the exhaust to the top of the cylinder and 41.30mm from the transfers to the top of the cylinders. The intake was cleaned up but look the same size. port
  4. The only thing I can think is the cutaway on the slide needs to be leaner(bigger number). I got a 45 now. I need to try a bigger one.
  5. Got it best suggestion I've heard all year. Thanks. Back to duals then.
  6. After further review I found out they are called boyesen ports towards the bottom of the intake into the crankcase.
  7. The only other thing I can think of is that my cylinders have the worm holes or boost ports cut into them that lead straight to the transfers. Does this have anything to do with the CV set up as this is always open and flowing. It is the only diffrence in my set up and a stock one.
  8. If the needle and seat where bad would it overflow from the vents? I replaced the plunger part of the choke, Is there more?
  9. Airscrew at 1.5 turns out with a 45 pilot. There is no diffrence in the plugs from a 35 pilot to a 45 pilot. Plugs are wet and black. Revs up awesome and the power comes on nice and smooth from about half to full throttle. I got new float and choke plunger. Is there any internal problems that can cause this. It is like there is a problem in the idle circuit alone.
  10. I have a cascade intake looks like the trinity one, 35mm Keihin PWK airstyker. Cylinders have a recreational port on them FMF Fatty's 21cc domes with coolhead +4 timing, It runs great on top and in the middle but at idle smokes like a chimney and plugs are black and wet they clean up after running wide open to a nice tan color. Iv'e tried everything I know. Went from 45 pilot to 35 no change, Changed needles from DEK to EEJ, nothing. Float set at 11mm nothing there. Idles ok with the idle stop screw turned in nearly all the way. Carb cleaned twice. Any thing else anyone can suggest or I'm going to toss it.
  11. What I meant by set up is what application you will use it for. It is a low end pipe as stated in the post above, trails and MX. If you want a top end set up then the SST is the one. The Gnarly signs off earlier than the SST.
  12. I am having trouble with the same set up. So far I know you need to make sure the float is set at 11mm from the crease on the float itself across from your needle and seat. The needle is also a big deal on those carbs. The cosensus here is to use a EEJ needle. I am at sealevel and have a 48 pilot. Hope it helps you some.
  13. Are they pitted or anything? If they are good I am interested. PM me with payment details.
  14. Looking for some 20cc domes. Got some 21cc for trade or will buy. Let me know.
  15. That is FMF's lowend or torque pipe followed by the fatty all around increase in the powerband and then the SST that is a more mid to top pipe. They are good if your bike is set up for them. The pipe tells the motor what to do.
  16. Yeah I ordered a new choke plunger because mine lets air through it when I sprayed it with carb cleaner, took it out and the rubber disk at the tip of the piston was hard and had the imprint of the orifice on it. I think it is letting fuel through at idle because when I sprayed it from the filter side alot of fluid came out the other end. there is alot of residual fuel in the carb throat and the intake when I remove it. I will put on the replacement parts and get back to you guys.
  17. Hello everyone. Got a little situation. Got a cascade intake that is like the trinity design, 35mm PWK EEJ needle, 195 main, 48 pilot. I live at sea level 80 to 95 degrees. recreational port, fatty pipes, 19cc coolhead, 185 comp. run VP Red for fuel. The problem is at idle. I set my float to 11mm on the float seam opposite of the needle and seat, At idle it is running rich as hell I got the idle set screw turned in all the way and still need to crack the throttle to keep it going. plugs are all wet and black, smoke pours out of the pipes. I also found that the choke plunger lets carb cleaner and air through when I sprayed it even when shut. Think that may be it, air screw out 1.5 turns. also when I got the carb it had the main and pilot casting that is held with the 2 screws inside the carb removed. although it says not to tear it down past that point, it was and I checked the oring and it looked good so I put it back together. Other than that it runs good mid and top end. Any other suggestions?
  18. Yeah I do PM me or I can just post them here. Let me know what you want.
  19. I got some T-5's if interested.
  20. Looking to buy or trade for T-5 set I have. Let me know
  21. Have toomey T-5 pipes and would like to trade for a low end pipe. They have no dents on them, come with silencers that I repacked the pipes themselves are painted black when I got them. Let me know.
  22. I have a graydon 2 into 1 intake. It looks like a "Y" not as neat as the trinity one but some like it better. PM me if interested. I have the cable with twist throttle.
  23. I am currently running a ported engine 20 over stock stroke. coolhead with 19cc dome at sealevel comp. 185 with +7 timing. Run toomey t-5 and 110 gas, My question is I ride alot of wide sandy trails where I can open it up often, so how much comp and advance are good before the engine is working against itself? Does the lower compression, say 160 better all around because the high comp is supposed to help lowend I was told. Thanks in advance.
  24. Is it still available?
  25. Does anyone have the intake part without the carb they are willing to sell on the stage 4 2 into 1?
