  1. I am at 155 @ sea level. Looking for a more of a CR ratio response for this one. I am close to stock ratio with my set up.
  2. I know that the stock CR is like 6.5:1. Based on that what compression ratio would require higher octane fuel? Also is CR a better indicator for fuel requirements than a compression test? Thanks.
  3. Firefighter/Paramedic. U.S Marine before that 0321. Part time Auto and diesel mechanic.
  4. The yamalube you got there is used for outboards and your blaster if you had the injection system hooked up. The main diffrence is the parrafin content the 2s has to be thinner to run through the injector system. You can run it premixed but the yamalube 2r is designed as a premix and is a heavier oil try and get some of that if you can. There are a gazillion oils out there for premix applications do a search. Hoped this helps.
  5. Paul Turner Mids got good torque a little on the expensive side.
  6. When mine was set up like yours I had a 290 main in it. Ran strong for 2 years until I upgraded. 280 to 320 should be good on the main. 25 pilot and needle in the middle.
  7. Deckheight you know what you are talking about. Throw me a bone and let me know what numbers you need to compute this stuff. I got the top end apart now and will be able to measure it out 1st thing tomorrow. Really would appreciate a hand.
  8. No I did it in millimeters. Maybe that is where I screwed up
  9. Let me measure again just to be sure. It said a negative value needs the "-" symbol. I got wiseco795 pistons in place I can't find specs on the piston measurements.
  10. Just calculated my compression ratio at about 8.50:1 on a 4mil with 24cc domes +4 timing stock carbs and an agressive trail port running around 187 degrees of duration I was told by the builder. I also have some 21cc domes I plugged into the calculator and it put me at around 9.60:1 with 185compression. My question is how the ratio is related to octane requirements. I was running c12 with the 185 compression and ran out of fuel once and used avgas and it worked fine for the rest of the trip even tore it down once I got home and the piston crown was perfect. Just looking for some recommendations related to ratio numbers and not so much on cranking compression. Thanks.
  11. I feel your pain bro! Have they sent the helicopter after you yet?
  12. Haven't tried it but the rubber is similar to the stock intake and I stretched that for 30mm OKO carbs.
  13. Up for sale new just bolted up once. 120 plus shipping to you. Paypal, MO, Check once it clears. PM me or send email to [email protected] with questions or call me @ 239-825-0683
  14. Listen to slobanshee06 he knows what he is saying.
  15. I got a hotrods crank on mine It has been reliable so far had it in since about September. As for pistons, Wiseco 795 is what I have. They have an excellent reputation. I Have run it hard with 180 compression using vp c-12 fuel and castor 927 and it runs great. Mine is set up for trail riding with PT mid pipes. Pipes will depend on your riding style. The biggest improvement I saw was the porting I had done. They port the cylinders for the new extended stroke and it really compliments the motor. That can also be modified to your riding style and how you want the power to come on, lightswitch or broad and smooth! Give me a PM if you want the name of the guy that did mine. And bore out only as much as is necessary otherwise you are taking life from the cylinders IMO. But ask around alot of good people on here you should get a bunch of good advice.
  16. Trade pending
  17. I am using my stock boots. Do you have yours? I will trade with you if you like.
  18. What filter are you using? Is it in good shape besides the frame tabs busted off.
  19. I got the shorter swinger and it sits a bit lower so there is less space for travel. It fits on my friends bike his has the standard swingarm. Also I have pt mids on this one and they dip down a bit where this airbox sits making contact. It fit well with my toomeys.
  20. Looking to trade the box in the link below for a stocker with pro flow either K&N or UNI kit either one is fine. It comes with a set of single stage UNI's. Or will take 100 for it. [email protected] 239-825-0683. Thanks. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Bans...sQ5fAccessories
  21. Can you please send pics to [email protected]
  22. I am in Florida and I had a set of those pipes, I am in 90degree weather and sea level as well. I had 25 pilot needle in middle with a 280 main and it ran perfect plug chop looked a little rich but it reved up fine. Do a plug chop to be sure. Alot of good posts here on it.
  23. I got the midrange PT's and I am at see level with an agressive trail port 4mil. I plug chopped down to 260main and it runs great with a dark brown 360 degree ring at the base of the plug. So you should be from 260 to 300 if you are at sea level.
  24. Looking for some carbs 28 or 30mm. Thanks.
  25. What elevation are you at? If sea level from 280-310 mains stock pilot maybe raise the needle 1 clip. Thats what I ran with that set up.
