  1. Uh, I meant to say you'll be running "race" gas fo sho with that piston. Sorry tried to edit my earlier post but too late.
  2. I'd keep the shee man. With that 13.5:1 piston you'll be running gas fo sho. Once you start tearing into the engine and upping the compression and porting and cams, those 450's turn into fucking grenades. The Honda even has stock suspension on it. Plus you'd be bored with a Briggs and Staton power band. If it was a stock motor with a pipe and a nice set of arms and shocks, I'd feel alot better about the trade.
  3. I run techniplate at 36:1. I think it's great oil, but I've heard people say it leaves carbon behind.
  4. Candy red frame and white plastics 100%!! That used to my scheme and I miss it.
  5. Upload some pics of your jugs and reeds. We'll be able to tell you then. How do you know you don't have any compression? Did you use a comp tester before you tore it apart?
  6. Very nice looking Banshee.
  7. I was talking about the 4 jap 450's in my last post, not comparing them to a banshee. But I agree a bolt on Banshee will take a bolt on 450 in a drag race. My Banshee was all bolt ons for about 3 years. The 450 would get the holeshot and maybe the first 2 gears then after third gear it was all Banshee.
  8. I think it's funny when people have arguments on which 450 is the fastest. The big 4 are all within 1-2 horsepower max of each other, with basicaly the same motor designs. I think you would have better arguments and make more valid points comparing what REALY makes these machines different, like suspension setups, front end geometry, ergos, weight, seating position, ride height, center of gravity, weight distribution, shifting smoothness etc. In a straight line, good traction, flat surface with equel riders and gearing, these bikes would be neck and neck. Now in the dunes, the better rider with the better setup(nice light paddles) will win the hill races.
  9. Cool man. Sounds like you have a very good platform to start with. I like the cummins engines. I like the way they sound compared to there V8 counterparts. My buddies got an 04 2500 cummins, nice truck. The next generation Titan is going to ba a Dodge/Nissan partnership,so I'll be able to get the CTD in a Titan! It'll be a 1/2 ton light duty version though.
  10. 2wd weighs about 5,000 lbs 5.6 liter 32valve DOHC all aluminum rated at 305HP and 385ft lbs(Nissan rated these very conservatively) 3.36 gear ratio(little gears but the tranny makes up for it) 5 speed auto(Nissan claim the steep gearing in the tranny is equivalent to a 4speed with 4.10's) Headers and a tune and the truck will see 13.7-13.8 It ain't got nothing on the big turboed diesels, but for what it is, it's very impressive for gas.
  11. Sorry but I have a hard time believing you "knocked off" a CRF450 or a KTM450 dirtbike.
  12. No buy a KFX450R  When I was 4 stroke shopping I realy liked the KTM's. I just didn't want to spend 10 grand for one.
  13. 06 Nissan Titan King cab Intake and exhaust only. 14.54 at 94.07 MPH with a 2.107 60ft.
  14. IDK I'd like to run the T the normal way. Maybe you could run a loose zip tie around the fuel line and to the right carb to keep it away from the pipe, shouldn't see it too much. Or you could run a pingel.
  15. Sorry but why the fuck would you try to kick it over while it's running? It's not your kick starter rattling is it? Try pulling in your clutch lever, does the rattle go away?
  16. Nope theres no tube for the 35's. Run your 32:1 you'll be fine.
  17. All 2 strokes need oil in the gas to lubricate the engine period. Some bike are oil injected, which means it has a seperat tank that you fill with oil,and it injects oil into the engine, just like my sons 90cc predator. Banshees don't have oil injection,so you'll need to mix your oil with the gas.
  18. Looks to me like you hammered on the throttle a little too early. It might not be a good idea to start comparing your new setup with your old setup within the first hour of riding.
  19. I liked the 04 & 05's candy apple red frame and white plastics. Thats what mine once was. 2nd place would be 06 with the white plastics and the silver graphics.
  20. I honestly think my banshee is not that much of a guzzler. I was amazed that I couldn't tell any difference between my all bolt on bike with stock carbs, to my cub setup with 35mm carbs. I can ride from Buttercup to Gordons Well and it hit the drags About 5-6 times, then go shoot Test hill 5-6 times, and ride back to Buttercup and probably have just under a gallon left over, on the stock tank!! (FIDK maybe 15-20 mile trip??) I've always gone through about 10-12 gallons of gas on a weekend. I ran 91 pump gas when I had bolt ons,and now run VP C-12 with the cub setup.
  21. Are you positive the new bolts are metric? You could very well have a standard 5/16-20 bolt. The thread specs are very, very close between the two and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between them, without pitch mic's or thread gauges :geek:
  22. I have the ones for the shearer pipes and I'm happy with them They clamp down tight and you can't twist them at all.
  23. We'd like to see your Banshee, post up some pics!!
  24. Exactly what I was gonna say. Having a Banshee and a 450 is the best of both worlds.
  25. Yea go to Toomeys web site,7 bucks a piece.
