  3. I'm prob the only guy on here with this opinion, but if I was doin what you are doing, again, I'd get a nasty port on my stock cylinders and true and weld the stock crank. Unless I find a smokin deal on GOOD 4mill crank. If that wasn't enough maybe do a stock stroke serval. But like I said that's just me. I've been running a 4 mill for a long time but that's because I got a deal on crank, pistons, and ported cylinders. If you think you'll actually ride it with the mods you plan to do for a while and not make it crazy unridable in the woods I'd keep the stocker. If you think one day you'll be wanting a 100 hp bike like everybody else then do it while it's apart.
  4. It's been a few years since I was there. But at that time on the far west end just south of the big stuff there was a whooped out trail that went straight south. It took you to a little clearing on both sides of a dirt road. The road ran east to west. I'd have to look at google maps to tell ya exactly but Id bet you could see it from there. There wasn't an official parking lot or anything but jere were several people parked there and one or two even camping. I assume it was legal?

  11. Wont tell u if it's a stuck ring but it'll tell u if u have compression. If it doesn't have compression doesn't matter what's wrong with it. Still has to come apart. You could always try some engine restore from autozone first.

  15. Mailman im not sure if you're done yet so sorry if you're still adding to this. But this thread is titled shearer or sniper pipes. First post shows shearers making more than the Snipers. Then the rest of them are about the differences in dynos but don't say anything about pipes. So I'm a little confused as to why you're posting all this. Am I missing the point?

  18. I've got a slingshot lockup. I think I've got it too tight and it bogs because I think I've been dumping it out of the hole instead of feathering it. It runs like a raped ape after it gets going. It's jetted somewhat for little Sahara, OK. I'll have to look at the carbs to tell u exactly where it is though. You'll prob have it figured out before that. Haha
  19. I've got a similar setup. Drag ported. Sounds like the pilot is big, main sounds close. Are u runnin a lockup?
