  1. I know you don't NEED to make the signal digital, but digital components are generally much happier with digital signals . And in this instance it only costs ~$10 so why not. I'm just going to be running mine on speed density tuning without a maf. Keeping it simple and clean. I'm just going to get it running on fuel first and get it dialed in. Then, it's time for a high volt coil and timing control. When I get really bored one day, I'll hook up a flex fuel sensor so I can pour either e85 or 93 in the tank . Gotta love microsquirt.
  2. Tapping into the pickup sensor signal and then using a gm hei module to convert it to something the microsquirt likes.
  3. Already have on sitting on the shelf :-). I have everything to do the efi conversion except the microsquirt, wideband 02 sensor, and a good high watt stator. I had a moose 250w that I got a good deal on used but one of the bolts that holds it to the timing plate backed out. Bolt bounced around inside the flywheel and destroyed the stator .
  4. Computer pulls ~60 milliamps, injectors pull about ~2 amps and fuel pump pulls ~3-4. So I'm looking at ~70 watt draw from that alone, plus lights.
  5. Oh I'm definitely planning on doing those led lights. Hopefully I'll be ordering 2 from you soon. If my money tree ever grows, I'll run 2 hid floods on stock location and move the led's up to the bars. But I need the high output stator for running the fuel pump for my efi conversion this winter. Lighthing is not my main concern. I just don't want to have to deal with running 2 regulator/rectifiers to get full output of the stator. I'd like to just buy the RS and be done but I'm not a gambling man...
  6. Hmmm, I know that's how moose's 250w stator is and why I'm not going to get it. I e mailed electrex so hopefully we'll get a definite answer. Good to know about in house winding from RS.
  7. Thanks for clearing that up. I was only going by what the box said and what my friend was told.
  8. Couldn't tell you for sure. I'm not a keihin carb expert. Going by what the box says and what my friend Jim was told. Anyone care to confrim/deny for sure?
  9. 1 Brand new in box keihin 39 pwk. Selling it for a friend who isn't computer savvy. Came with his 330r and doesn't need an extra. $180. Please call Jim at 419 233 3740, please don't pm me.
  10. Hey Snop, have you ever used an Electrex unit from england? Their price is very competitive. http://www.electrexworld.co.uk/st4350l-updated-lighting-stator-yamaha-yfz350-banshee-atv-electrex-world-limited-9517-0.html It's obviously a high output unit looking at the windings but they don't state a wattage output.
  11. I'm going to be efi on my shee this winter. I put up a teaser pic of the throttle bodies a while ago but I don't think anyone put it all together. I'm going to be using 04 R6 throttle bodies with a Microsquirt running it all. I'll post up pics/.msq files/whatever anyone asks to see .
  12. I believe I need to go change my underwear now . Mad props to that guy. Don't even wanna know the pricetag on that conversion. Definitely want to hear it run though .
  13. Yeahhhh, I know that place. Between meijer and OTEC right? 309SS rod works great for repairing mild steel. I do it all the time. It's meant specifically for welding SS to mild. 308 rod is for welding 304 to 304 only.
  14. Bad ass! It's about bloody time. Did anyone happen to catch how big the place is?
  15. Hahaha, DAMN. Now that's redneck! I'm from troy and am there quite often as that's where my girlfriend lives. I live down in lima, ohio at the moment for school and all that jazz. I'll definitely give you a shout the next time I run up to troy. Thank you very much! Not too shabby for a 21 year old kid huh ? What's the name of that welding shop? I might know them.
  16. I love my PT high rev's. Got them for $100 used in the classified section here. Not chrome but who cares for that price. So nice being able to change plugs on a hot motor.
  17. I'll definitely be contacting you shortly then for a spot and a euro :-). I already did the dc conversion and have a battery laying around I could pop in if need be.
  18. Very cool man! I'm glad to see I helped motivate someone. Not that hard was it ?
  19. That's not bad at all. I just may have to pick up a pair of them before I head to wellsville at the end of september. Who has them for 105? The cheapest I saw them on the net was for 119.99.
  20. No kidding. Impressive. How much do those solstice led lights run?
  21. Boneyard - I'm going to wellsville sept 25-27 with a huge group if you're bored that weekend. Should be a crazy time as usual :-). I'm definitely running some 22" rears this time around though. I kept bottoming out my swingarm skid like crazy with my 20" rears in may. Haha, thanks for the kind words Dave. I agree it is a sort of "abortion" and is definitely not very pretty. However, I needed something quick and easy at the time to make it for the riding trip that weekend. Buy one for a few hunred? I can build one for less than $100 :-). I'll build a pretty tube +2 this winter when I have it all apart to do the efi conversion. It's not a show bike by any means so I'm not terribly concerned on the looks right now haha. It's riding season! Thanks for the compliments on the welds :-). I own a small, custom metal fab shop so I hope I didn't just get lucky haha. Here's an alum tank I built for a guy the other week. This is a turbo collector I built a couple days ago for a customer. (sorry for the fuzz, you get the idea though)
  22. Will do. If it holds, we're good to go?
  23. Electric with bypass style regulator.
  24. I'm helping a friend convert a 39 pwk to be pump friendly for an extremely goofy application. Been searching around and haven't been able to find a "list" of what exactly needs to be modified/changed. Is it just the needle and seat? Best place to get the parts? 2-3psi good for fuel pressure? Thanks everyone!
  25. Very cool! I'm going to have to make it up there some day. I keep telling myself I'm going to hit the dunes and UP one of these days... By all means! I'm heading there the afternoon of 25th and coming back the evening of the 27th. We're going to have bikes, quads, trucks, and even an oddyssy hahahha.
