I probably did backload it too much. Who knows. Maybe I'll tear into it this weekend and see what's messed up. I'm just a little confused that it will shift up like a dream and no hiccups but basically won't backload at all, just grind. I'll probably just put the stocker back in and trash this damned thing. I did like the 1-5 neutral down. Oh well.

Yeah I'm thinking I may have to tear it apart this week sometime and take a looksee. I've got something messed up. Worst case scenario i still have the stock tranny to put back in if I need to.

I put it in this spring. It worked great for the first ride or two, but now is acting weird. It shifts up like a dream but shifting down can be tough, and if I try to backload it, it will for a bit but then will slip between gears and you can hear the dogs ratcheting. Same thing if I stop on top of a dune then coast down, and pop the clutch to start it again. It just acts like it is between gears. Is it possible I just have the 2 smaller springs on the wrong sides of the shift forks? Any input is good.

It's the piston rocking. There will be variation if you measure that way. You should measure squish in line with the wristpin.

Not sure why everyone thinks the interior on a dodge feels cheap. I like my 06 alot. I used to drive duramax's at work all the time and while the ride was nice, the interiors would fall apart and they squat like a little bitch with a load on. I'm not a fan of ford interiors. And to the comment of a truck that won't last the first 100,000. Mine is at 115,000 and rides like new. No rattles and is in damned good shape for pounding up and down 30 miles of shit road to the dunes and towing sled trailers around all winter.

I think the quads run the hill off to one side of the championship climb. It's only 500 feet compared to the 1000 that the bikes run I believe.

Here is a pic from about halfway up Sand Mountain towards the southern end of it. There are also about 40,000 acres more of rideable dunes if I remember. One from the parking lot. The fingers are on the far left, then the face, then the whooped out side on the right is the slowpoke side. This pic is from a snowy week in October a few years ago. And one of the big dunes on the backside of the mountain.

Not quite. Sand Mountain (aka Little Sahara, UT) is west of Nephi and north of Delta out on I think Hwy 6. Nephi is right on I-15 and is only like 45 minutes away.
