  2. I've been pressing cranks together for a lil bit now it's not unusual to have differences in materials , just the other day I had .003 diffrence in a oem rod. I have no way to know what years the rods are from but nevertheless there diffrent. It's also very easy while pressing shit together to have the center section not perfect or as your welding something for it to pull . I've had cranks pull .006 or better while welding . So I would check that crank , if you don't have the tooling send it back

  4. I understand how a coolant system works gravel. Many years ago when I started playing with banshees I was told on this site that it's not a recirculating tank . I never put any thought into further than that due to fact most don't leave them on. I stand corrected . I've also never seen one change levels while riding and I've tjned built and ridden 100s of bikes maybe that has to do with my riding conditions and a safe tune that never lets the engine get to those temps to steam out I'm not sure . The one on my asphault bike has been empty , I use it as a catch can basically. I've never been low on coolant and never seen anything burp out . A lot of people need to realize they can have a weak rad cap also that doesn't help the situation.
  5. That's how it looks to me also rings got weak or overheated and grabbed the port , leak tedt it then check out condition of the nikasil
  6. I've seen it plenty as bhp said on larger strokes , who knows maybe someone planned on trenching and never went through with it. I have filled the top case in the back to play with aux transfer fuel entry but that clearly was not well thought out

  10. I use cel all the time , it was the OG needles I never heard of

Don't take the 110 out , static compression means shit 18 cc domes should yield way higher compression ratio than pump can handle, you have another issue my friend while your plugs were backing out you burnt your rings up call up Kevin and see what he thinks stop riding it for now till you talk to him and try another tester
  12. Make sure you check crank and look for deto something caused those guages and it doesn't look like normal dirt marks

  14. I would get some deks, cels never heard of that needle. All bikes can benefit from a lock out if you ride hard u will have a tough time keeping plates from glazing over. I would look into those squish numbers and dome cut your missing 15-20 psi from where I normally see those engines with a 20cc dome . I personally like the compression numbers you have but I'm usually at 22-21 cc domes on a drag ported cub. Look into what base gasket he used it might be set up for a .012 and if he used a bigger one you would have loose squish and compression would suffer
  15. That's why I pressure test coolant system, then take rad cap to auto parts store and match it up with a late model Honda . His bike might be just fine and fluid he's missing finally got through all the tubing. I don't run overflow bottles except on asphault bikes. I'm in Long Island if you need any help
  16. If bike bike is new to you pressure test coolant, crankcase, compression test that should give you a general idea of the state of the engine don't take anything apart yet
  17. Ok since ur overflow is not a re circulation tank I would say something else going on . Why not pressure test the coolant system instead of pulling covers off
  18. Is there no clip groove on the pto side and stator side, where did you get it
  19. Is everything else up to par , I would do like surf said check squish ask Shawn what the band width is and angle. So it's new Pistons and rings
  20. I think your crazy to not have a lockout, I have a decent amount of experience with 33s they like bigger jets than the more common 35s . My friends duneport stock cylinder chopped perfect at 172 main dek needle 2nd clip
  21. Compression seems low to not be ported, maybe shees tired. Who cut domes. What needle is in the bike I found d-series needles work the best in Cubs with those carbs . Can you do a plug chop. How do plugs look . Those jets don't alarm me so much
