  1. I've ru tz on various engines and havnt had on failure , for this particular build maxloads are the way to go

  3. You should really call mull and talk with him , he seems to know a lot about all the oem metal composition. He's walked me through heat treating and annealing peices for my crank press . He's a wealth of knowledge. I would be interested in tranny drums themselves with gallows cut for override without welding and shotty machining.
  4. I just got done building a 421 wampus, the boost ports suffer in size to keep the stock appearance by not using stud extenders with a solid stud hole. If it were my choice get the cub, your not fooling anyone with a wampus. I can't tell by eye if the triple ex port tunnels suffered, but I was able to fit my normal porting bit in there no problem. This cylinder had the worst casting flaws I've ever seen from cp in the transf tunnels. Something to look out for

  7. Competitive cranks has bearings made by a Taiwan company that I've been using recently with no problems they're a c4 spec bearing where hot rods an oem are c3 spec ..
  8. Make sure you use the proper maxloads, I use the German versions of maxload and tz , u can see the price diffrence between the two

  11. Do I recommend no base basket no , have I done it yeh but was on an overported drag set up that was rolling over and not building power it can be done . You can also deck your cylinders but this is all fixes to a problem you shouldn't have . Don't get mad but how's tgat 2 week turnaround looking now
  12. You need to throw a 30 pilot jet in there, needle 4th clip from blunt end, main is good with lid on , leave boost bottle on the bench they are a gimmick

  14. Surf you have any bottom ends over there if I sent you a cpl set of cylinders to dyno or send the completed engine I've got a stock cyl 4 mil that dynoed 105 hp not to far from me but I don't trust the operator he's a utv guy and a lol special
  15. I changed his cylinders out for a set I ported,IMO every hjr set up I've ever tuned didn't effective pull gear hard, they rev quick just never went anywhere. I have diffrent porting principles I go by and his porting is too far hogged out an far gone for me to be happy with low compression and conservative squish. Now take that same design set it on kill with big compression, good fuel , + 7 or so timing and bigger carbs you might get to where you wanna be. . Surf can hook u up for sure if not hit me up . With my porting I shoot for a turbo effect when u get on the pipe like you just added another cylinder either way you might end up spending another 600 but you will shake when u get off the bike

  17. Yes that's fine bring it through the gears easy I don't bounce the thing off the limiter either but end it wide open leaving throttle open through shutdown and coast
  18. With portwork 340-360 main 27.5-30 pilot toomey needle 2nd clip from blunt end
  19. Call fast racing order 24 cc stroker domes and an oring kit , do yourself a big favor and pressure test that motor before you put it in the frame an air leak will destroy all your new parts and also serves as a check on seals if the owner even replaced them with new crank

  21. Pilot Jets could be clogged up or air leak
  22. Pj are 16mm float height make sure you measure them properly tilted on 45 just so float tab touches needle pin

  24. Stock head cut by mull engineering for your intended fuel and a wsm big bore head gasket or copper big bore gasket. Where did you get cylinders and can u post a pic of where the sleeve retaining ring ends up in conjunction to the studs, word of advise, glue the shit outta that head gasket or it will leAk .
