  4. What pipes were u running , pipes and carbs play a big role in getting those big bore stockers to run. I would love to mock that engine and degree it out ,look at the dome design. . They run hard set up rite
  5. Yes , and a quick stator test would be to put a tail light bulb in your teeth as you hold both plug leads , have someone kick the bike, if the bulb lights stator is ok. Jk
  6. I've had both fast and ebay ones side by side , ebay bearings have diffrent retainers and pins, he charges a percentage overcost I asure you it's not 100.. He needs to make a living just like u or me. I've ran his clutches in bone stock machines all the way up to 125 horse fire breathers with no issues

  9. It's 800 alone for billet webs from crankworks, I can do a wsm 10 with good Japanese or German bearings for 800 . Nothing is bulletproof
  10. Cubs like the dgh needle usually fourth clip , 55 pilot is normal, your main is at the top end of spectrum that I usua see at sea level .i would swap the stator with a known good one

I use glass media and I hit everything , pull all bearings seals , after blasting I run tap through every hole, wash with hose, then I go inside to my wife's sink use hot water and dawn , scrub all mating surfaces and anything else you feel needs it. Blow it dry , ascetone mating surfaces with white terry cloth and you'll know rite away if it's clean enouph

  13. Most people have that variance and never know if u wanna get that crazy I use a granite block , tape sand paper to it then figure 8 it to needs , u don't need much so go easy
  14. You wouldn't think so but there is a fair amnt of play in the wrist pin but at least side to side is close now

When checking squish you need to check both sides of piston at the same time the piston will rock in the bore on the wrist pin bearing ..005 give or take so I usually stick two peices in the same bore lined up with wrist pin you will be suprised how much it changes if your not doing it that way

Motion pro switched there cable manufacturing to India now and there cables that used to open 39s don't any more ,as per motion pro they were never designed for that big a carb although they did work. You can order custom cables from them which is what I set up yesterday. I also have to modify the throttle lever n housing regardless
  17. Get a sync tool , after syncing carbs the proper way by vacuum then move on to electrical , pickup gap , I have seen pick up gap cause week signal when the crank isn't 100% true. Another question is why the fuck would you let it idle for 10 min that's a good way to load the bike up and possibly overheat ur shit

  19. If you know someone that's good with a mig welder and I stress good I usually hit the tip of the bolt with small tak a few times and the bolt will come out with vise grips. The heat from the weld will break up rust and come out fairly easy
  20. Faith his cable is fine , the spring I gave u the other night is fasts easy spring , go to the hardware store and match it , please don't cut the stock springs on those carbs

  22. Drill pj out to .096 start with 120 dump / main with 55 pilot , egn needle in the middle , start 6 turns out and see if u get a good burn on the plug

  25. I just dialed in a 421 cub with 39 pwk alky carbs . I ended up with a 60 pilot .122 dump/ main egn needle 2nd clip , power jets drilled to .096 4 turns out so far on pj heated the plugs up, every motor will want a lil diffrent set up start 6 turns out and squeeze it down slow
