    Alky jetting

It was obviously done for a reason , when you start drilling carb bodies out funny things will happen. I've never looked at a circuitry in a pj but ode imagine it was flowing too much fuel add idle probably due to high signal from a drag ported set up. If I were you I would put those carbs to the side and get some 39 pwks it will be night and day diffrence. If you have no adjustability on pj u could drop to a .116 main pj 3 turns out and check the burn
  5. Good friend of mine bought a bike from an older gentleman I went with him and did a compression check and rode vehicle . He registered vehicle had it for three yrs and wanted to sell it. New guy shoes up to buy it and points out the vin doesn't match the regi , we were like oh shit get out , we never checked it
  6. The brass barbs pull out fairly easy , there's an o ring behind there might be able to find one local and fix .
  7. Could be simple as that , pay attention to the plugs , they should be chocolate not black but if your idling it like crazy plug pics are squewed. Look up plug chop procedure and post results of that . There's three three things I do to new motors than can save a lot of heartache Compression test Pressure/leakdown test Plug chop If everything checks out with that you have a solid base to tune off, ohm your plug caps if you havnt
  8. Redo the exhaust packing this way your starting with a clean slate
  9. Maybe I'm not getting the issue here. Is there A problem with it or it runs fine . Your counter acting everything said so ride it like you stole it if it's starts to get hot, lean pop feels like its laying over down on power look up leakdown test on the forum . You can make a tester cheap
  10. Jet it according
  11. Cool go ride it and see how she feels. Did you pressure test motor?
  12. So there new crank seals. I didn't look at video
  13. I'm pretty sure I could set you up on a stock crank and the bike would scare you . Yes for what u do an appropriate port job domes for intended fuel and a good bore/hone/Pistons will leave you ahead of your competition
  14. T them together and run it up by handle bars and loop it down. The hybrid I did I welded a nipple into a radiator, I also put the rad like a banshee rad is located
  15. Well the clutch side crank seal will cause that side to smoke more if it's bad, a leakdown can sqhate that away. Those plugs look terribly rich that's why I said ride it hard and clean the plugs up, jetting damn close for summer , winter I would have a 280 main at least . So I would ride it hard and try not to sit there idling it so plugs don't load up then pull em n post pics
  16. Is the clutch side the one that smokes more
  17. Go clear that plug out, if both plugs look the same after riding it hard check ex packing
  18. As long rod is my favorite trail motor I've recently done few and love them power wise very similar , on my but dyno they rev better, I couple that with lite piston combo . I've never had a stock bowl run dry , as lond as your float heights are on shouldn't have an issue, also make sure your gas cap is venting properly I tend to gut all caps
  19. It's actually not a bad price from a dealer, . I usually get around that price , I use fast racing plates and his pancake bearing set up
  20. If your going aftermarket go Dyna , but oem has proven itself to be the best thing out there , I'll sell u one for 400 , matter of fact I'll rip the one off my bike for 400 lol. Look in the for sale section they're there all the time
  21. If it doesn't get smaller, skirt is collapsed
  22. Pistons gradually get smaller up the skirt , I start my measurements 3/8-1/2" from skirt bottom and work up keeping it square. I find a dial caliper is the the easiest and most effective, venir caliper is too Inconsistent IMO
  23. Driveline looks to be better, better nikasil , better casting to add porting, use driveline new Pistons and done
  24. You can go broke saving money
