  1. I have had some pretty off the wall set ups through my doors that would blow your mind trying to jet them
  2. Too much to run through in a post, contact me I will explain it over the phone, there are some thin lines in there that will cause me nothing but grief trying to explain
  3. 160,48, cel needle middle clip, I’ve seen these carbs take bigger than that on ported set ups at sea level. A lot depends on how well the porting and pipes work together. If they are working efficiently with each other less of a main jet is needed than a mismatch set up that you can throw fuel at for days
  4. Look up terrafab or call someone like a sponsor or reputable a arm fan facility, most will have access to whatever size you need
  5. PayPal is mvitale06@verizon.net. I might have a set coming in about a week or so, customer going bigger, wifee making me clean house before I start more projects
  6. I have two Vito’s 4 mill cranks that have been broken down gone through , all new bearings, true n weld, ready to run. $250 each Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. IMO there are very few places that would take the time cleaning and prepping the way you would do it. Especially if you’re not looking to ship to a sponsor
  8. I don’t think $200 is that bad on the right set of stockers.
  9. You said you have spark correct. So fuel n compression are your next two things. Put new plugs in it kick it and see if the plugs are getting wet
  10. Snap on raped me for the tooling but I also bought a backprobe testing kit at the same so I don’t remember which one was more. I love me some tools tho.
  11. Look at the book if the value your looking for is kohm use the k setting on tester , if there’s no k symbol in front of ohm symbol use the regular 200 setting. Testers can be a pain if you don’t use it a lot, my flukes have auto function so it’s a lot easier . General rule of thumb when I’m trouble shooting , side specific is not stator related issues. Reeds look equally worn, pressure test coolant system and crank case. . One both of those checks out move on to electrical then fuel.
  12. Are you sure your black lead is in the rite place?
  13. Head gasket ? Just a suggestion. If it’s not electric, narrows it down alot
  14. Bring cap to any auto parts store, plenty of jap cars use the same cap
  15. It depends who’s using the equipment like anything. I’m an electrician by trade . I also wire drag cars for a few local shops. I’ve never had a failure. I try n use weather pac connectors as much as possible
  16. Claude- I don’t do whatever I want measurement wise. I go by the book and a lil better. The different jigs I have to get the job done are not orthodox compared to a crank shop busting out 100s of these things. Same result different approach
  17. Shrink butts will work but I always like using solder and marine grade heat shrink with the sealant that oozes out when heated this way it’s 100% customer proof
  18. If you want pm your cell and I can send you pics of the rig I use. It’s a lil unorthodox and I don’t feel like listening to the trolls. There’s more than one way to skin a cat
  19. When measuring runout support the center bearings only. That’s how I assemble and true them , working from center out both ways. I have a legit true stand from k&l but realized real quick that wasn’t the way to do it. If you support the outers and bring it within spec 0-.002 your center will jump that.002 and vibrate like a son of a bitch. Long story short support the center and work out
  20. IMO no it’s not but I’m a lil bit anal. I’ve seen plenty worse than that sent out the door. They probably welded the pin , it walked from the heat then they tried to squeeze it back. What are you using to support the crank? It’s very critical when measuring. Once you get good at it you can leave it .002-.003 out and use the tig to walk it back true .
  21. I rebuild a lot of cranks , those are very common on start/stops with either too much or not enough heat on the tig
  22. http://www.galco.com/find/Just-Power-Semiconductors give then a call to make sure you’re getting what you need
