  1. 50 pilot 155-160 main ,cel needle 4th clip
  2. Im goin on 3yrs with my dunable 1-4,5th,6th clutch,I just drag tho.It takes a little to get used to but the bike will dictate what you can and cant do by how it sounds
  3. im at sea level an usually run 170-175 main but have more mods so 168 is close im not sure on the exact lettering of the needle call FAST he stocks them
  4. Whats your compression,if its stock bore did you hone before you put new pistons in,If so whats the piston to cylinder clearance, wisecos run .003,stock pistons run much looser, you might have a clearance issue
  5. 45pilot 170 main, use the dirt bike needle 4th clip its called an NCVQ needle, fuel screw 2.5 out.The needle is a must once you start upping the jets it will run like garbage.Never spray cleaner on the slide take it out 1st b4 you clean and take the rubber off,it expands and will never run rite if it gets fucked up.I have had three come thru my place that people tryed to do there own shit
  6. even with the rite pistons they will stick out ,so you need a rechambered head or a cut dome
  7. 230-240,thanks for all the info on the bike
  8. hotrods +4mm crank and look up cp industries they make the cub cylinders for banshee motors and im sure make a cylinder you would like. You can make over 100hp with the rite set-up
  9. i can set that up
  10. is the choke set-up working good
  11. if your interested you can use a baker six speed off a harley,i have toyed with many jet-ski combos the trouble on land is the pipe set up.Jet ski pipes pipes are tuned using stages of water injection for peak motor performance unless you spend a shitload on a pipe designed for that motor in a specific rpm range the motor would not make as many ponies as you would like,i have also looked into just ptting upper halves on(cylinders).Keep in mind i have a mill and tig and lots of other shit. Its cheaper to buy a twister cylinder and bolt it on.Time is money in my world
  12. Get 39s rite away there pennis diffrent in price, but a good 421 needs them, all of my boys cubs have 39s on them the one friend who has 35s is selling to get 39s ,do it once doit rite,FAST racing has great prices on carbs
  13. no bigger than a 55 pilot but prob a 52 on those carbs in winter.I just tuned a 421 cub ported but not drag ported it dialed in with 165 mains,48 pilots, cel needle 4th clip. You will need the cel needles if there not in the carbs allready.Did you just get the bike. Those main dont sound that far off on a drag port is it possible your ignition isnt up to par, good grounds, plug caps, coil go a long way ,you can chase your tail on jetting if its off, also have you pressure tested the motor for air leaks.Does it chop out on the top end like its on an ignition break(two step)
  14. is it a 4mil or stock stroke long rod,my favorite set up for trail is pro-circuit pipes,145psi pump gas domes(21cc depending on porting).+4 on the timing plate, stock stroke long rod crank,795 series wisecos,30mm pwk carbs, one peice billet intake, oversized rad, billet pump, any other ? feel free,i like v-force 3s
  15. its not a must on most bikes but yes under
  16. Do an air test ,everything can seal up when expanded/warm maybe thats your problem, air leak
  17. t-5s and stock carbs are not optimal but they will work,i just built a 4mill stock cyl drag port for a friend,he was outta money so we used his stock carbs and since i stole my pipes back sst are on now.it hauls ass but not optimal
  18. def do a pressure test, its cheap[ insurance, next how long did you run it on 91.You might have gotton lucky and caught iut in time but you def could have blown that motor if you didnt switch gas. With that compression and some timing i like no less than 110 vp.If your feeling frisky pull thed and take a glance at the domes for lite pitting
  19. is the spacer under the cylinder or on top, whats the squish,it should fire rite up.i would do a leak down test, compression test and go from there, something is up
  20. leaving it lets each intake scavenge off the other,I dont run one on cub set-ups,but run the billet intake with one built in on stock cyl builds
  21. some people will say no,but i have and my boys do so whatever you like
  22. You can make plates to reinforce the slugs,it looks like a lot of fill on there, just note a tig welder is more prone to make metal weaker if your not careful,I have countless hrs on a tig and it can be frustrating at times so dont get discouraged and dont electricute yourself.
  23. With out the lockup on my 4mil stock cyl it lasts 3-4 passes on asphault as apposed to 43 with the lockup,I def make alot more pwer but the motor he is running could benefit. The whole idea of drag racing on asphault is keeping your rpm up and traction.I personally like 2 be consistant,IMO slipping the clutch using spring pressure and weight for the first couple ft is the only way.Im no pro by far but i have seen drastic changes in my times and mph in the 1/4 by using this method ,I did not start out with a lockout but certain hp requires it
  24. Im pretty sure stellar a site sponsor sells adapters for stock spindles to fit 5/8 spindle mounts,if not he is the man to talk to
  25. 50 pilot 170 main, cel 4th clip,Leave it rich for a lil break in then tune it,might end up 165 main 48 pilot but its cold rite now
