  1. $40 is too much I can get one cheaper on ebay. Thanks anyways
  2. How much for the rear hubs??? Do you have the nuts for them are they the newer bolt pattern?
  3. Like it says im looking for the newer bolt pattern rear hubs the small ones in good condition. Also I need a good stock head that is not warped and has no pitting. I would like the head to not be milled just a straight up stock head in good condition. I also need a parking brake blockoff.
  4. Ok one more thing. If 64mm is .010-.012 What should .040 over measure?
  5. Thanks guys looks like I will be going out and getting a feeler gauge today.
  6. So how do you measure the rings when they are in the cylinders. I dont get it.
  7. Could someone explain what ring gap is. I am getting my new pistons here in a couple days. I thought all you had to do was put the rings on the pistons and put them in the cylinders.
  8. Sent you a pm on a bunch of parts I need. Let me know when you decide for sure your going to part them out.
  9. You dont have to run stopers on aftermarket reeds. At least I have never seen anyone do it before. Could you explain what your shee is doing to make you believe that the stopers have to be in place to make it run better. I have been told that a cracked reed will make it run like shit. Try holding them up to the light to look for small cracks and make sure they sit flat on the cages.
  10. PM sent...
  11. Yea I know that but do you know what the cases should be torqued to?
  12. If I rember correctly the head and cylinders should be torqued to 20. But what does the cases have to be torqued to???
  13. No I did not have anything else on the crank. Just put the cases together and it would not spin right so I was like WTF something doesnt seem right. I decided to split the cases again to see what the problem was and I found out that one of the tabs on one of the bearings was not inside the groves on the case. I am going to put them back together tomorrow and see if the problem is fixed. No I did not have the crank trued and welded. I dont plan on bumping up the compression on this bike or putting anything else on it except for pipes. I have a 96 with a hotrods trued and welded crank and If I were going to put some mods on one of them it would be the 96 rather than the 87. How much does it usually cost to get it trued and welded though????
  14. I just installed a crank when putting my cases back together. Its just a stock crank out of a 2000 that I bought from WALLACE84. My question is should the crank spin freely or should it have a some resistance to it. By this I mean when I pull on the rods to rotate it, it seems like it has resistance to it and doesnt spin freely. Is this not right to me something doesnt seem right. The bearings seemed to be ok and there was no play in the rods when the crank was out of the cases.
  15. Does the number on the seals go in or out. On the back of the seals there is green. These seals look different from the ones that were in there.
  16. If you do decide to part it I might be interested in those pipes.
  17. Damn hijacking my thread ehh lol. There is some stuff that is called 3 bond that is suppose to be just as good as yamabond. I believe the thread I made a few pages over is still there. If you wanna check It out its the one titled yamabond vs. 3 bond.
  18. Yea I saw that but it realy doesnt answer the questions I asked. That is a nice guide on taking the motor apart though.
  19. Ok I seem to have lost my help so I am going to put this back together myself. Just got my cylinders back from the shop and I cant wait any longer to get this beast put back together and up and running Just a few questions for the motor experts. When I put the yamabond on the cases how long do I have before the shit dries. I dont want to get one half nice and covered and have it dry as im putting some on the other half of the case. Also should I put some yamabond around my crank gaskets and the gasket on the chain sprocket side. I want to make sure this bish isnt going to leak. When installing the vitos crank seals the springs should be facing out correct? This is all I can think of right now. I will be doing this tomorrow afternoon. If I have any problems im counting on you guys to walk me through them. Thanks.
  20. Well I dont know if this is the info you are looking for but on the 87 shee I just bought I noticed that instead of having 2 bolts that go thru top and bottom of the carrier to hold it on, there are 4 bolts that screw into the carrier and hold it to the swingarm. Let me know if you have any more questions I dont mind going out into the garage and taking a quick look  Ohh shit i dint realy understand what you were asking. I take it you must have an 87 and you are buying a 90 swinger. I just looked at the 87 up close and there is a few things different than on my 96. I guess I never really noticed the 87's setup was so different.
  21. That is a decent price and they even come with wrist pin bearings.
  22. Ok I will do that then. I dont know where the extra C ring came from. I have a total of 3 all the same size
