I will give you a little tip on how to get the bearings in. I cant give you any tips on how to get them out because it was hard as hell just for me to get to mine. To get them in put them in the freezer for a few hours. This allows the metal to shrink just a tad. Next go to your local home depot or hardware store and get a threaded rod about a foot long make sure it has threads down the whole rod. I found mine in the nuts and bolts section at home depot. Next get 2 big ass washers and 2 nuts that fit onto the threaded rod. You have now just made your own little bearing pusher. To use it put the rod thru the carrier. Put some bearing grease in the carrier and some where the bearings slide in. Place a bearing on top and bottom. Put 1 washer on top and 1 washer on bottom. Thread the nuts on, one on top the other on bottom. Make sure the bearings are straight and in route to slide into the carrier evenly. Then start to tighten down the nuts. The bearings should be pulled in the carrier when you start to tighten the nuts. The trick is to make sure the bearings are straight as they work their way back into the carrier. Hope this makes since. By the threaded rod I mean its a rod with threads all the way down it. I dont know the specific name for it. * Also make sure you dont forget to put your axle sleeve in the carrier* Hope this helps

Yes that was the answer I was looking for. For the Clutch side there is one in the bottom grove and one in the top so is that correct. Also does it matter what direction I place the one on the clutch side crank when I slide it up so it meets half and half with the top case? Should I make it face toward the tranny side or the cylinder side. I have a total of 3 C rings all together. Thanks For the help fellas

Ok im confused as to how many c rings im supose to have that go in the groves in the cases. The clymer manual only showed one on the bottom of the case on the right side of the crank and it should be placed in the inner grove farthest to the left and the other grove to the right of it is where the crank seal pops in correct?. Then there is a grove on the top case on the same right side of the crank is there supose to be a c ring there to? Also for the part of the tranny that the clutch goes on there are c rings and one should go on the bottom and the other on top correct?

Well that seems funny because that is what I bought was yamabond 4. Is this stuff no good is that why it was discontinued? I can always take it back found another shop today that has some yamabond 5 that I bought my jets from. I would rather get this done right the first time rather than have the seal go bad on me.
-
Hell yea found some yamabond from this little shop like 25 mins from me
-
No the only stuff I can find is 3 bond. I must have called like 12 shops today 3 of them being yamaha dealers in different citys like 20 min to 30 mins away from me and they all had the same shit 3 bond. If I cant find anything by saturday looks like I will be letting you fellas know how the 3 bond holds up. I dont have time to order any yamabond WALLACE84 is going to help me put this beast back together saturday so that doesnt give me to much time to order any. I guess I procrastinated to long getting this damn yamabond I dint know it was going to be this hard to find ::
-
yea I called all the yamaha dealers and they were actually the one that told me they dont make it anymore. I guess I will keep calling around and try to find some. So is this 3 bond not any good has anyone used this stuff before?
-
Im putting my motor back together saturday and I need some yamabond. I have been calling around to every shop and all they have is some stuff called 3 bond. One guy told me they dont make yamabond anymore. Is this 3 bond stuff just as good. I think the one guy was bullshittin when he said that they dont make it anymore because you can get it on ebay.
