  1. So, what tires do you guys think are best for hooking up in the grass?? I have about 100 acres of grassy fields local I'm allowed to ride on. I have 21 inch tall mud sharks on one set of wheels and had 20inch tall hole shots on the others. the mud sharks aren't that great on the grass and the hole shots SUCKED! I did nothing, but spin when i got on it. doesn't really matter what gear I'm in. I had turf tamers on my 350x and they were great, but that also had 1/3 of the power. keep in mind i have dune ported 4mill with CPI's, 35pwk's, and the rest of the supporting mods. I'm leaning towards fast trekkers or turf tamer, what do you guys think?
  2. I would get the 250, better deal and less maintenance. you can lung it more since your a bigger rider. I grew up on a 125 seem to like them better for racing and tight tracks, but you gotta beat the shit outta them to be fast! I LOVE my 450 though, best dirt bike ever IMO.
  3. mechanic, until spring then I should be working for Allstate selling insurance.
  4. shit, i was thinking you meant their race gas
  5. i would think $2800 is a good deal for here on the east coast. you figure any clean older banshee is worth $1800-$2200.
  6. I doubt they use water in their fuel and even then it wouldn't cause his car to blow up unless the octane level was low. in that case it would be his fault for not reading the label.
  7. I was kidding. I don't really care, I'm just bored outta mind right now. I've also been on this site long enough now to know who to listen to and who not to listen to. BTW when is bbcmudtruck gonna post pics of his wife??
  8. so, i guess what your trying to say is, you don't like them??
  9. o yeah, I've got a go-ped! how about some more pics of chick instead of dude!
  10. i agree, change the pipes and more compression!
  11. best bet is to have a builder port the jugs for a 4mill set up and get 795 series pistons. for the head you can get a noss head with cut domes or cut the stock head for a stroker. I had my stock one cut for the stroker, it was like 30 bucks at a machine shop.
  12. I would say sticks are always going to be faster until you get into the deep 11s and faster. when you have a motor making 400bhp and auto trans that takes 70hp to spin its gonna go slower than a manual trans car that only takes 35hp to spin. the facts are manuals are still faster stock vs stock to this day. Turbo cars act a little as they dont loss boost in between shifts like a stick does.
  13. www.myspace.com/WBoulton If you try and friend me make sure you let me know your from HQ. I usually only friend my local buddies i hangout with.
  14. Thats what i always say!! why waste time with the smaller engine. as for the camaro and challenger, my money is on the camaro. the SRT8 bad boy challenger runs 13.80s and I'm pretty sure those camaro will be dipping into the mid/low 12s.
  15. What size turbos and how big of a engine you building?? Do you know what trans your gonna use?? To make that much power i would think your gonna need a set of twin 70mm turbos or bigger and 400+ci motor backed by a RPM 4L80E trans.
  16. I wouldn't say power everywhere. its pretty much all mid range to top. it has a little bottom end with a very beefy mid range and killer top end. you can ride trails all day without a problem.
  17. that sucks, all i did was call Kevin and talk to him for about half hour about my build. i sent him the jugs and they were back in a week. The bike runs so good, I love riding it!
  18. yeah i know, turbos are no joke. my buddies vette was laying down 1000+ getting 24mpg!!!! thats just wrong! If i ever stop playing with my bikes i will build a new motor with a single turbo set up for my cobra. I was gonna do it this summer, but I'm probably gonna pick up a new bike. If that falls threw I'll be building a 331 boss block with a single. I wanna make 700+rwhp BAD!!!
  19. I have a HJR ported 4mill and i must say that thing is amazing!!! killer mid range with crazy top end power. Kevin helped me with any question i had, all around great guy. he even talked to my machine shop and told them how to machine my stock head to work. all and all my motor turned out great!! Jeff from fast was also very helpful when ordering parts and building my motor. two great guys, hands down. I would say either FAST or HJR for a badass dune port. I know jeff has a lot of happy customers too!
  20. I have 3 friends running blow threw set ups and believe it or not their cars run great! I thought it was a bad idea at first, but all 3 of their cars turned out nice and run great. one makes over 1200rwhp! its all on who sets up the carb for you and how well they set it up.
  21. you still gonna run a carb with that set up or you going to switch it to FI????
  22. did you sell that thing?? I thought you still owned a dart or some kind of mopar??
  23. New motor for it. 434sbc
  24. My brothers camaro, it ran 12s/13s depending on traction that day. now we're going for low 9s with it.
