That should be able to beat a bolt on shee for sure. a 450 beats a 52 hp banshee due to traction and tq. I never got to race a 450 with cams etc so i dont know.

I used to use it but now i've been with Klotz for about a year. I love the castor smell. I used to run amsoil at 50:1.

yeah i just set mine till it felt right. I have a slingshot style lockup so i had to shove a small knife to stop the shaft from spinning to i can adjust it with the plates on. That was fun

Damn right. I screwed up so much stuff on my bike. But that's how i learned. Now she runs way better than it did in the past. If have some internal problems but my lack of knowledge was the problem.

If he was running race fuel, it might need it. Easy way to check is do a compression check. Anything over 150ish then you need higher octane than pump gas. But if the stock head wasnt milled or other things, i doubt that. I run my oil at 40:1. But everyone has it's own opinions on that. Amsoil will be ok. I used to run that but the lack of caster oil made me switch. I love the smell of it. Stock gearing will be fine. Or if you ride sand, maybe go one smaller in the front. As long as it revs crisp in neutral and 1/4 throttle to 3/4 is crisp and good, your needle clip should be ok. You can always go one clip richer and see if it bogs. With just a boost bottle, you will not be keeping up with any of today's bikes. Actually boost bottles does nothing. Over time from bouncing on the rubber boots, they can cause the rubber boots on the carbs where it attaches to crack. Just make sure she is jetted/tune right and enjoy her as is. Welcome aboard!

hmm your numbers are pretty much even with your bud's raptor. MY money would be on the raptor for a drag race though. Reason is their advantage in traction and smoothness of power delivery. As stated above, port that baby. When i race regular 4 strokes, it's neck in neck till top end even though im pushing way more power. I just spin my ass off. Although prowedges take care of that rather nicely.

I just did a frame up build. It's a playbike with a lot of focus on drag racing friends. It took a long time to build and im still tinkering with it. With working barely 32hrs/week and a potential to get layed off, it's rough. Just be fortunate you guys have jobs right now. Some of us arent as lucky. I have all the time in the world to work on the bike but no $$. I still didnt even touch the damn suspension yet

I never got the feeling vito's isnt like. But i do feel Vito's isnt popular. Anyways, i do enjoy dealing with Vito's. I recently bought their slingshot style lockup for my banshee. Works like a dream! I also had to call them for some help/questions. Very nice guys there.

I just built a stroker set up. Ended up needing a lockup do to so much power. So that added to the cost.

If you can, grab a buddy's stator and try it. Same thing with other electrical components. I had a problem once. Turned out the pickup by my flywheel was too big of a gap. Man i chased that problem for weeks and weeks.

I have one pre-ordered. I already put %50 down to hold it for me. Should be here within a few months. I cant wait!

OP.....i went race my bike this weekend and it was fine cept for 3/4-WOT. It seems the 158 mains are too rich. I ordered some leaner jets. But i will go do a plug chop very soon to confirm. I could be lean too but im just not sure. But it did the same thing with 162 mains and it seemed to get better with 160 then 158's. It's taking longer to bog. My jets should be in friday. The pilot and needle clip position was easy as cake to adjust. This main always gives me trouble though but i will get it.

That's what i was going to say. Portwork will make or brake it. With the right set up, it will be a very fun bike. I wouldnt focus on #'s but just look over everything and make sure she runs in tip top shape.

if you hook up, you will when easy. If you spin hard off the line, u will play catch up and probably catch and pass him very bad. All in good fun, just video it

yeah mine i lost 6th. I wasn't aware that a company made a 1-6 dunable. Either way with my gear 15/41, 5th is plenty fast enough. Against the average bike, you should be a head a good bit where it doesnt matter.

Depending on the port job, smaller carbs would be more ideal. My builder told me to go with 28's or 30's. I still gain power on top but dont loose any power where i want it. I can run it with stock carbs. No fuel starving problems either. You can bump the mains all the way in the mid 400's range i believe. Im just curious why you got rid of the 2-1 intake set up. Some people swear by them. And i have your set up but i have 30 okos. I'm starting with 52 pilots, 102 mains and clip position in the middle. I dont know if that helps. That should put me richer than perfect but that's what i want.
