  1. A new tusk clutch is about $40. You can clean your pipes and get them looking decent. Or buy used ones for cheap. There's always good deals around here on used pipes. And yo can find some cheaper used plastics. Less hassle if you ask me than buying someone else's bike.
  2. Such a pathetic thing when so many people say sue. I hope none of you guys never rear end someone. Then you will see how cool it is.
  3. The shift pin is the weird shape screw that adjust the spring? On the ouside of the case but under the clutch cover?
  4. Not it's not, you mine did the exact same thing. It hung on the shift star lobes(or whatever their called). By arrows, i mean on the top of the case there's an arrow. It is suppose to meet up with the arrow on the (damn i cant think of the real name of it) but it meets u with the rod going in the case. That has an arrow too. It's not hard to see. dragbanshee...like you im awaiting to see what causes that. After i put my bottom end and bike back together, i will see if it still happens. Im replacing all 3 of my shift forks too. If the problem doesnt get solved, i will resplit the cases over and over until i find out what's wrong. I dont care what it takes.
  5. I'm pretty sure his shifter isnt the problem. It seems internal. Make sure your clutch is adjusted(check arrows ontop the case) correctly. That's a free fix. You can even save your tranny oil by tipping the bike on it's side. I had this problem too. My bike felt more sloppy than two of my buds bikes that i road. I have my cases split right now so i will check the shift works and replace them. I used to miss a shift and rev the crap out of my bike in "neutral." I know my clutch wasnt adjust correctly and once it was, it made it a lot better. I'm gonna keep checking this thread to see what others have to say. If it's the same problem i had and i think you are talking about buying a modded shift start and/or pro shift(or whaver the name is) shift kit wont do anything.
  6. If you do a 4mil stroker set up, the idle exhaust note and exhaust note in general changes? Just curious cuz im building one as well. Come on, how can you tell if a port job is good just by LOOKING at it. Get that bike running then let us now how it is and "fiilaysh'd"......no need for that here bud.
  7. Anybody wants a black universal quad asv lever w/ hotstart? $40 shipped. pm me if so. Anyways, i got my clutch and brake levers in. They are awesome. I cant wait to try them out.
  8. My first big boy bike was a yz125. I had a pipe, filter, vf3 etc on it. It was pretty fast for what it was. Instead of trying all sorts of mods to it, i just left it alone and saved my money. After a while i sold that bike for a yz250. 125's are great bikes but i wanted more power and it would of been a waste for me to soup up a 125. I love how 250's have something called low end I personally would just get a pipe for the 125. I dont know if opening the airbox is worth it. The air filter would prob get dirty in a hurry.
  9. I thought Pro Circuit pipes were and all around pipe like T5's/T6's?
  10. Another way to put it is the tires are pushing/turning the tranny/engine. I dont know man. I guess i could get used to it but IMO it just isnt for me at this moment.
  11. Not for us town folk who just use our bikes as a play bike. It has tempted me many times though It's so damn cheap to do. About $400 and never miss a shift again is awesome. I road one once but due to the shitty area and be being scared to backload it i didnt really get a good feel for it. Who knows, i might get the urge to put one in one day. I can always sell it and make most of my money back. I use my 6th gear all the time so i could throw a bigger front sprocket so that way 5th will be like 6th if i go with a N down 1-5. A pitty splitting the cases is such a bitch and expensive. and valve bodys in cars HELP transmissions, not hurt them. I have one in my lightning.
  12. Before you go out and buy new things. Clean the clutch cable very well then lube it very well. Use some sort of aerosol grease. I personally dont care for easypull levers because due to how they work, they dont refully rrelease the clutch imo. There's several topics on this so i wont get into it. People would be amazed how a good clean and lubed cable is to pull. I cant believe(well, yeah i can) people just jump to the go buy a new one conclusion to help this problem out. While you are at it, clean and lube your throttle cables.
  13. Anybody have some good pics of them installed. Thinking about the pro armor one because it's black.
  14. $13 shipped for Pure to 70394....if so shoot me a pm with your paypal account? thanks.
  15. He did not undercut anyone. There's two cranks.....
  16. My t6 pipes sounded better than t5's. I run cpi's and since it's been since last june since i ran my bike, i freakin forgot how they and banshees in general sound in person
  17. stock pipes + cut fenders = chick magnet. do it!
  18. With the mods you already have, i would spend the money on suspension. IMO you dont need more power for trails. I would rather my bike to be more plush and handle better so it wouldnt wear me out as easy. An easier to ride bike makes it enjoyable to ride for longer.
  19. Keep the current exhaust and get some portwork on it. Also, keep the stock carbs. That's my two cents.
  20. I favor stock gearing. It takes some big power to get the most out of even 1 tooth bigger front.
  21. talk to whoever will be porting your juggs. Discuss what type of riding you do and what you want out of it. He can tell you what is best. If he cant do any of that, go elsewhere.
  22. Naa his truck is nice and clean....unlike yours. I wouldnt mind a carbon fiber radiator plastic.
  23. Did the clutch "feel" better after installing yall billet basket?
  24. Since people are throwing out other engine builders, ill add Flotek to the list. He is easy to get a hold to and will always call you back. He now has my juggs and flywheel and he's done work for me before. You can talk to him about what setup you want and what you want out of your bike and go accordingly. My last port job with him hauled ass. Turnaround time is good too.
  25. i got both my brake levers and i have 3 clutch levers coming. Got them all dirt cheap so ima prob sell them for what i paid to a bud of mine. If not, im keeping them. Cant go wrong with these. they are bad ass! Now i will try to get a set for cheap for my dirtbike
