  1. Top ends are cheap. If the piston got destroyed, you might need to split the cases and clean all the debris(sp?) out. And while you are in there, replace all seals, bearings etc. Make it like new.
  2. go with two bikes. If you end up stretching your bike it wont be any fun to play on. Better way to put it is if it's set up right to drag, it wont be fun to play on. Im building a 4mil but it's a playbike. Pump gas, stock swinger and ported stock cylinders. Fun.
  3. no i have no idea how to adjust shocks etc. I turns the settings max each way and in between still rode rough. Wouldnt a set of a-arms and shocks made for the shee ride much better?
  4. If you arent ported, keep the stockers. stock carbs are underrated.
  5. I would go for pump gas man. Race fuel is expensive and for the gains vs cost, pump gas will be fine. I'm doing a 4mm stroker right now on pump gas. It should rip hard. Have you ever thought of buying some cheap used juggs close to stock bore for about $150-$200 and get them ported. That way youll be good to go for many more top end rebuilds. Then have it ported for the 4mm set up and not have to worry about spacers plates or anything special.
  6. I would love to have an almost brand new shee like that but it doesnt make sense when you can buy a used one for much cheaper and in the end have it better. good find though.
  7. wacko, what are you looking for in a truck? Speed, power, comfort etc?
  8. my 450 set up road very very rough. Im selling mine.
  9. I suggest, not to listen to the above post. All flotek has to offer is awesome customer service, and amazing skills to finding what combo/port job will work the best with what you want to do with it. Who wants that crap....wait a sec I will be making vids of my bike once it's done in about a month(or less). The thread starter can also pm me about any questions but i id rather talk about my experience here in the thread. I love bragging about top notch work and customer service. Now, do any other builders out there offer great work, good turn around time and good customer service? Of course others do. We each have our own reasons why we went with who we did to get our juggs ported by. To the OP, no matter who, please talk to various potential builders and see what will work best for you. I wouldnt settle for just a "drag" or "dune" port. One company's "dune" port might be anothers "play" port. Good luck with whoever your choose.
  10. hideous. Reminds me of the early 90's sparkly shirts. I think you dont like it otherwise this thread wouldnt of been made. With that said....i think you know what to do.

Go with stock gearing unless you will do a lot of highway racing. I was at that power level last year and it didnt have the power to use 6th gear well with 15/41. If you are serious about dragging, you need to work up on set up. Set up is where its' at. Hell throw in a dunable override while you're at it
  12. Seems like a good deal to me. Only thing id worry about is the bottom end. You cant check that out unless you tear into it. But you can get a used crank for cheap here so that isnt a big deal imo. New seals are cheap too. I would do it. Also for 19cc domes, id do a compression check. You might not be able to run pump gas but that depends on other factors.
  13. That's kinda ironic. You first said pipes and filters are enough then you mention getting a coolhead. Yup, the modbug bit. And +1 on the warming up the bike thing.
  14. Try from a dig. Although then it's a drivers race and who can get out the whole better. Banshee would be at a disadvantage but i hate roll races. Id like a 700 to play on. Plus reverse is nice. Would an aftermarket cam make it pull harder on top? From what i understand, it takes spray to make the 4 stroke bike pull hard on top. From my experience of riding them and it isnt much experience they seem to fall flat after 3rd. Next time get it on video. There's a lack of "banshee VS" videos here
  15. I was expecting the LTR to do better than that. Good video. Next time can we have no ghetto music and just engine sounds :ermm:
  16. Mmmmmm ok. But my money would still be on the 450. Plus you add the pipe and basic stuff to the 450 that you did the banshee and the 450 wins IMO. Go drive a 450 and see how easy they are to launch, shift etc compared to a shee. But this isnt one of those banshee vs threads so i wont go on.
  17. I still think an even cheaper 400ex would be better route(reverse too). Sure it isnt as powerful but around there parts you can get a nice one for under $2,000  . I havent checked the bike adds lately but used 450's are still pretty high in price. And speaking of dirtbikes with low end. My 01 yz125 didnt have ANY low end at all. Although im comparing that to my 02yz250 i have now. Come to think of it, im not sure if my ole 125 had powervalves. I never went into the engine or too a good look at the front of it. When i think of low end on a 2 stroke, i think of power before you get on the pipe. I'm going with some 30 OKO's for my build. Talked to my builder first to see which would be best for MY application. 28's or 30's were recommended. But for right now, i will rock with stock carbs. On a side note, i would put a busa engine in my shee but my mom said that would be too much power and she would ground me MJ
  18. Correct me if im wrong. Depends on the port job, a bigger carb hurts low end. You need high velocity(stock carbs are fine or 28's) to get the best gains. Someone can correct me or confirm that please.
  19. I would focus on suspension instead of power. IMO TQ and banshee doesnt mix. And your sig is a little big(takes up my whole screen) wacko. That's what the gallery is for :ermm:
  20. Everybody has their own favorite builder. Here is mine. http://flotekperformance.com/home He has my juggs and flywheel right now. You need to talk to whoever you choose and discuss you mods and what you want out of the bike etc. That way you can determine what is best for you.
  21. People post the same questions all the time. If that didnt happen this place would be dead besides the for sale section.
  22. I am now a hypocrite. :ermm:
  23. I just need to figure out what gives me a stock 2-6 speed using only 1-5. Oh joy.
  24. Well i have a N down 1-5 dunable coming this week. My prolem is solved
