  1. Does anyone know where to get sone Red Bull decals for my shee? Every store I go in has Monster and Rockstar but thats not my thing. I saw a Red Bull replica street bike and wanted to do the same to my shee.
  2. Alright everybody. I just put my engine together. New port job (dune/mx port), new pistons (wiseco lites), cool head with 20cc domes, adjustable timing plate @ +4, 310 main, 32.5 pilot, a dino jet needle 4th pos. down from the top, and a brand new dirt digger clutch kit (springs, fibers and plates). I also have fmf fattys, k&n with the airbox (no lid) from before the rebuild. I am running 50/50 91 octain and VP c-12. It started in 4 kicks and seems to run good except there is no bottom end. I do about equal amounts of track and dune riding so to have no bottom end is bad for me. I tried messing with the air screw a little at a time but it seems to not make much of a differance. When I am riding it runs fine but when I really give it gas it just bogs, then the power band kicks in and it really screams. I have been told by a tech at Alba that from what I described to him it sounds like a normal ported banshee. That may be somewhat right but i have been riding for a long time and it just doesnt feel right. And for some reason if it is right I wish I wouldnt of got the cylinders ported. Its seems to have a real bad flat spot before the powerband, and is not suitable for my type of riding. Sorry for the long thread. Please help!!!
  3. thanks bro. someone told me that I should crack the throttle, does that sound right? Also do you normally kick it more than once or just one kick and that is it?
  4. I got a compression guage to check the compression after rebuilding the top end. It is one that you have to hold in place it does not screw in to the head. I am just not sure of the proceedure. do I only take 1 plug out at a time? do I have to seal the carbs or exhaust? The whole bike is back together and dont really want to take apart again.
  5. The dude I talked to lived in the Mira Mesa area. I don't know why I said Kearney Mesa before. I went to his house it was off of Mira Mesa Blvd. but this was about a year or so ago, maybe more. It could however be the same guy did he move in the last few years from Mira Mesa?
  6. Hey everybody. A long time ago I was looking to get my jugs ported and some of yall recommended a guy in san diego Kearney Mesa area. I can't remember his name and am trying to get in cotact with him for some work. I talked to him over the phone but lost his number. He does the work out of his garage and a few peaople recommended him. Can anyone help me out with his name and e-mail or phone?
  7. I just rebuilt my banshee and am ready to fire it up. I was wondering what 2-stroke oil at what ratio to run for how long to break it in. Also a recomendation on what brand and weight tranny fluid is the best to run. I used to use bel-ray 80, went to get some and noticed a few other weights and was wondering what the performance differance would be. Also what do you guys think about water wetter. I go to the dessert allot and heard that it cools better than the maxxum coolaid that I used to use. Whats up there is tooooo many options?
  8. thank you sooo much. It seems really easy to do.
  9. Thanks. About how much will either cost?
  10. Has anyone eliminated the key mechanism on their handlebars. I would like to get rid of it to clean up the appearance and maybe install a good tether kill switch. Any sugestions on the removal process and makes and models of a good thether kill switch?
  11. Hello everybody. Does anybody know about the clear radiator hose? I saw a quad in the desert with a set and I thought it looked pretty cool. I saw a set on albas' website but it was expensive for a couple of hoses and the ones I saw were not ribbed like albas. These looked more actual radiator hose, with the string weaved through it. It was just clear instead of black. Does anybody know of any other products or clear Hi-Temp hose that is cheaper?
  12. Thanks for the info I think I know where your talking bout. Which of the three tracks do they allow quads on? Some places wont let them on the motocross tracks cause the dirtbikers cry about the dust and ruts they seem to cry allot.
  13. I live in San Diego and within the last couple of years the most local track to me (El Cajon Speedway) closed down. I then started riding at the Lake Elsinor Track but recently they banned Quads from riding the track. I think it was due to liability, but I also heard that it was because of dust and they wanted to expand the mini-bike track (lame). Does anybody know of another local track close to San Diego, Ca.? Thanks
  14. Whats up Fellas? I Purchased my shee with a twist throttle kit on it which eliminated the TORS on top of the carbs but I noticed that the TORS box above the left cylinder was still plugged in. Can I unplug it and ditch the black box or will it affect the way the bike runs? I also just took off the parking brake and was wondering what to do with that plug also? If I can leave them unplugged, do I just let them hang there or do I need to cap them off with something? Also where can I get one of the covers to go where the parking brake was attached to the rear brake. Oh, one more thing. Has anybody seen the clear radiator hose. I saw a Banshee with it, and it looks trick. Is there a kit or do I just go to a local auto parts store? Thanks for your help.
